Properly bleeding tuna when they hit the deck results in much higher quality meat in the end-- how we do it is a tiny poke with our spike or bleeding knife four fingers behind both pectoral fins. The key to this is not going too deep so the blood flows out and NOT in!

We are in the depths of winter here in the North East however we are in full prep mode for the upcoming 2026 season! We will be striper fishing April and May, and transitioning to tuna in full force by mid June!

We wanted to give everyone a heads up that June-August prime tuna dates are filling exceptionally fast this season, especially weekends with only a few dates remaining.

This year we are pre planning a few OPEN BOAT tuna trips for those that are not available on short notice. These trips block off 2 days, then as we get within a week of the trip the captain will make the call which day the trip will run. If you would like to get on one of these you need to be flexible for both of the two dates posted for the trip. The dates are as follows;

June 13-14, 4 spots available
July 14-15, 1 spot available
July 28-29, 4 spots available
August 11-12, FULL
August 25-26, 4 spots available

These trips run $625 plus gratuity for the mate. Generally 4am-4pm ish, leaving from Shark River NJ.

Coming off a real nice stretch of fishing with a solid yellowfin bite, all ways really some days! Mostly bait and jig thing but we also got skippies around holding yellows with em if ya know what I'm saying?!! Few days of down time with some wind this week, which is killer, but taking the time to tighten A-LOT of screws and sharpen some hooks. 💪🏻💯🙏🏻

Saying goodbye to one hell of a summer! A sincere thank you to everyone who's fished with us thus far! If the YFT fishing continues we will stay on it into later this month on a week to week basis but with the calendar turning to October, this is where the brains at. Game on. LFG 👀

Sent a nice 75" bluefin to market yesterday. Fish ate a yellowfin jig setup, naturally. Despite that, along with 4-6ft seas, my guys kept their feet and put the screws to this fish in about an hour. We had a couple real nice YFT bites shortly before this fish, on the same drift, but we pulled hooks on three of those. Ride home was straight up gnarly but with a big smile anywho. 🤙🏻👌🏻🩸
