In a workshop the other night, someone called herself an “art misfit” and my heart skipped a beat...Maybe I’m an art misfit too???
With some digging, I found an art misfit is anyone who has ever felt like they didn’t quite belong (in the art world). Maybe you’ve been told you weren’t good enough. Maybe you gave up creating because perfection, rules, or comparison stole your joy. Maybe you’ve felt too wild, too messy, too sensitive, too much, or not enough.
This studio is for the:
Believers who were never believed in.
Creatives who never felt artistic enough.
Wanna be’s who never got a chance.
Dreamers who lost their space to dream.
Artists who were told they had no talent.
Rulebreakers. Who break their own rules.
Because sometimes it’s the misfits that create the most magic ;)
