Here’s an opportunity at Havenwood this Saturday!
Winter Break MKE

Free tickets: https://www.winterbreakmke.com/
This coming Saturday, 2/28/26 is Winter Break, a free community festival for boosting your mood. Ditch hibernation. We'll have many bonfires roaring, but also fun cold weather stuff, like bird watching, sled dog petting, fat tire biking, lawn games (Kubb!), and much more. Plus there are warm things to do indoors, like candle-making demos, tea tasting, weaving, documentary movies, and fireside poetry.

Do you have your tickets yet for Maple Sugar Days? Maple Sugar Days is an event for All Ages and All Abilities where we celebrate a Wisconsin tradition.

What can you expect?

A few highlights:

šŸTravel back in time to an old-fashioned sugar camp and hear tales of how hardworking folks (including kids) created syrup in the early days of Wisconsin.
šŸMeet our Maple Trees and discover the science behind their sweet, spring sap.
šŸLearn how the indigenous peoples of North America created the first maple sugar and continue their sacred tradition today.
šŸSmell the sweet steam as we boil down sap and learn how to create syrup in your own backyard.
šŸTaste maple sugar and enjoy a warm pancake topped with Wisconsin maple syrup.
šŸSample a flight of syrup to discover the amazing variations in maple flavors. (additional fee)
šŸTry your hand at drilling a log and hammering in a spile or walk the Story Stroll.
šŸMaple-inspired food and treats will be on sale supporting Friends of Wehr. Shop the Nature Store for DIY equipment, books, maple candy, and more!

Our friends at Access Ability Wisconsin will once again be assisting patrons with using Outdoor Wheelchairs (as seen in the photo) so they can access all of our learning stations including those in the woods during their guided tour.
