During the month of March, Guardant is covering the cost of the SHIELD test for eligible patients with commercial insurance!

You may qualify if you are:
• 45–85 years old
• Covered by commercial insurance (BCBS, Aetna, UHC, etc.)
• Have NOT had a colonoscopy within the last 5 years
• Have NOT had Cologuard within the last 3 years

✅ If you meet these criteria, you may be eligible for the SHIELD blood test at no cost this month!

⚠️ Important:
Self-pay and Medicaid patients are not eligible for this offer.
The out-of-pocket cost for the SHIELD test is $1,495.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month — a perfect time to remind our patients and community that screening saves lives. 💙

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when caught early through routine screening. Regular testing can detect precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer and find cancer early when it’s most treatable.

At Beloit Medical Center, we are offering SHIELD blood testing as a convenient screening option for eligible patients.

What is SHIELD?

SHIELD is an FDA-approved blood test that screens for colorectal cancer. It’s:
✔️ Simple — just a blood draw
✔️ Non-invasive
✔️ No prep required
✔️ No stool sample

Screening is recommended beginning at age 45 for most adults (earlier for those with risk factors or family history).

If you’ve been putting off a colonoscopy or stool test, SHIELD may be a great option for you. Talk with your provider to see if you qualify.

On Friday March 6th we are hosting a preventative screening day. Stop in and get tested!
