🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Miranda Russell! 🌟

This week we’re excited to highlight Miranda Russell, one of our dedicated LPNs on night shift here at Rockland Ridge. Miranda has been part of the Rockland Ridge family for four years, and she brings with her an impressive 14 years of experience in long-term care.

Throughout her career, Miranda has taken on different roles in long-term care, including serving in management as an MDS nurse at another facility. Her experience and knowledge make her such a valuable part of our team, especially during the overnight hours when residents rely on the same compassionate care and attention.

When asked what she loves most about working in long-term care, Miranda shared something that many in the field can relate to: “The residents become family! The relationships built while helping them thrive and reach goals will always be my favorite part of LTC.” She also added that the teamwork at Rockland Ridge is unmatched, which is something we are so proud to hear.

Outside of work, Miranda loves spending time with her family. Some of her favorite things to do include camping and fishing, baking, cheering on her boys at the ball field, and traveling to new places with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys spending time shopping with her mom.

A few fun facts about Miranda: she’s a proud doodle mom to a bernedoodle named Brutus and a mini goldendoodle named Beans 🐾. She also comes from a big family, being number 7 out of 8 siblings!

We are so grateful for the compassion, dedication, and experience Miranda brings to Rockland Ridge every day (and night!). Thank you, Miranda, for the incredible care you provide to our residents. 💛

We want to give a big thank you to Elisa from Hickory Creek for spending time with us at Rockland Ridge! 💛

She put together the cutest craft with our residents, and they absolutely loved it. The smiles, creativity, and laughter made it such a fun activity for everyone.

Happy Employee Appreciation Day!

Today we’re celebrating the amazing team who cares for our residents with so much compassion and heart each day. The kindness and dedication our staff shows does not go unnoticed, and our residents are lucky to have such a wonderful group of people looking out for them.

As a small thank you, we provided lunch and a few extra goodies for both our day shift and night shift staff today. It’s just a small way to show how much we appreciate everything they do.

Thank you for all that you do for our residents and for each other. 💙

Congratulations to our February Employee of the Month, Erin Coen! 🎉

Erin is a LPN who has been with us since we opened, and we are so thankful to have her as part of our team. She was nominated by several of her coworkers because of the patience and kindness she shows our residents every single day. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel cared for, comfortable, and respected. Her compassion and genuine heart for their care truly make a difference.

Erin is also always willing to step in and help whenever she’s needed, showing the same dedication and teamwork to her coworkers that she does to our residents.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! 💜💛💚 Yesterday we celebrated Mardi Gras Rockland-style with king cake, beads, and lots of festive flair! Residents and staff dressed up in their purple, green, and gold, and the smiles were just as bright as the decorations. Sweet treats + good company = a royally good time! 👑✨

Our hearts are full! 💗 The Ohio Valley Allstars Competitive Cheer Team stopped by to spread some Valentine’s love to our residents with the sweetest valentines and stuffed animals.

The smiles, hugs, and joy they brought meant more than words can say. Thank you, Ohio Valley Allstars, for your kindness, generosity, and for making our day extra special. 💘📣

Love was definitely in the air at Rockland Ridge today! 💘

Our staff enjoyed a Valentine’s Dessert Bar filled with sweet treats because they deserve all the sweetness! 🍰 We also made sure they know they’re “turtley awesome!” 🐢💌

Our residents celebrated with a Valentine’s Party full of laughter, music, and smiles that could melt any heart. ❤️

Days like today remind us that love isn’t just a holiday. It’s the care, kindness, and joy shared in our halls every single day. 💕

Feeling extra loved this Valentine’s Day 💌

A huge shout-out to Sophie from our Activities team, who teamed up with her Occupational Therapy club from Ohio University to create the sweetest Valentine’s cards for our residents. ❤️

Sophie is currently studying to become an Occupational Therapist, and it truly shows. Her kindness, creativity, and heart for others shine in everything she does. We know our residents will be so touched by this thoughtful surprise!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Carri Rector! 🌟

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Carri Rector, a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in our Therapy Department here at Rockland Ridge. Carri has been part of our team for about a year and a half and brings with her an impressive 13 years of experience in long-term care, including home health.

What Carri loves most about her work is the patients. She truly enjoys helping them build strength and confidence so they can return home or regain as much independence as possible. Her dedication and encouragement make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she works with every day.

Outside of work, Carri stays just as active! She loves working out, spending time with her family, fishing, hunting, and even boxing with her son and husband. 💪🎣🥊

We are so grateful to have Carri as part of the Rockland Ridge family. Her passion for therapy, energy, and commitment to our residents make her an incredible asset to our team! 💛
