Employee Spotlight: Meet Kristy Dix, CNA 🌟

We are excited to shine our spotlight on Kristy Dix, one of our incredible CNAs here at Rockland Ridge!

Kristy has dedicated 18 years to long-term care and has been part of the Rockland family for 1½ years. Her passion for LTC comes from the opportunity to build meaningful, long-lasting relationships with residents and their families. She shared that the bonds she forms with those she cares for are what make this work so rewarding.

Kristy says, “I work with some of the best, most caring people around here at Rockland.” 💙

Outside of work, Kristy loves spending time with her grandbabies, traveling the world with her fiancé, and going to concerts. 🎶✈️👶

Congratulations to our October Employee of the Month, Trish Sinsel! 🎉 Trish is one of our incredible night shift CNAs, and we are so lucky to have her on our team. She was nominated by several of her coworkers for her amazing teamwork, compassion, and dedication. Trish is wonderful with our residents and is always a positive presence in the building. Thank you, Trish, for all that you do! 💙👏

Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸 Thank you to all who have served. We were honored to celebrate our veterans here at Rockland Ridge today. A special thank you to Jeremy Crouse, a Rockland volunteer and 18-year Army Veteran, for presenting appreciation certificates to our veterans. We’d also like to thank The Ohio Redwood for generously donating dinner meals in their honor. ❤️🤍💙

October was a busy month, but we didn’t miss the chance to celebrate our amazing teams! Since October is National Physical Therapy Month and also includes National Healthcare Food Service Week, we took time to show our appreciation to our wonderful Physical Therapy and Dietary departments.

Everyone received personalized lunch boxes along with another special gift — shirts for our PT team and cups for our Dietary team. Just a small thank you for all of the incredible things these teams do every day! 💙👏

Happy Halloween from all of us at Rockland Ridge! 👻🎃

Last night’s Trick-or-Treat event was a spooktacular success! 🧡 A huge thank you to Leslie’s Grub Shack for serving up delicious food, Kim from Amedisys Hospice for setting up a fun game for the kiddos, and our amazing Therapy Department for putting on an incredible haunted house! 👏

We also want to give a big shoutout to everyone who donated candy and to our staff for all the time and effort they put into making the evening run so smoothly. 💕

And today, the creativity kept rolling — we even had The Muppets stop by, with Kermit the Frog hopping down the hall! 🐸😂 The costumes were fantastic and brought so many smiles to our residents’ faces.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Halloween at Rockland Ridge so special! 🎃💀🍬
