It’s Social Work Month, and we are so proud to celebrate our very own Amy Bortell 💙

Amy is absolutely wonderful and truly invaluable to our team. She goes above and beyond every day, working hard to support our residents, families, and staff with compassion and dedication. Her kindness does not go unnoticed, and the difference she makes is felt throughout our entire community.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

“May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.” 💚

We had a shamrockin’ good time today! Residents and staff wore their best green, enjoyed corned beef and cabbage for lunch, and celebrated with a fun party.

“May your heart be light and your song be strong.” 🎶 Our residents sure lived that out during karaoke and they had the BEST time!

We’re so lucky to celebrate together! 🍀

Last week, our residents and staff came together to wear red in support of Amyloidosis Awareness ❤️

Amyloidosis is a rare disease that many people have never heard of, but awareness is an important step in supporting those affected and encouraging continued research and understanding. We were proud to stand together wearing red to help shine a light on this cause.

Moments like these remind us how special our community is. When we come together, we can raise awareness, show support, and make a difference in even the smallest ways.

This week we celebrated Dietitian Day and recognized our wonderful dietitian, Morgan Bartmess! 🥗

Morgan works hard to make sure our residents receive meals that are not only nutritious but enjoyable too. Her care, attention to detail, and commitment to resident wellbeing help keep Rockland Ridge running smoothly every day.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Miranda Russell! 🌟

This week we’re excited to highlight Miranda Russell, one of our dedicated LPNs on night shift here at Rockland Ridge. Miranda has been part of the Rockland Ridge family for four years, and she brings with her an impressive 14 years of experience in long-term care.

Throughout her career, Miranda has taken on different roles in long-term care, including serving in management as an MDS nurse at another facility. Her experience and knowledge make her such a valuable part of our team, especially during the overnight hours when residents rely on the same compassionate care and attention.

When asked what she loves most about working in long-term care, Miranda shared something that many in the field can relate to: “The residents become family! The relationships built while helping them thrive and reach goals will always be my favorite part of LTC.” She also added that the teamwork at Rockland Ridge is unmatched, which is something we are so proud to hear.

Outside of work, Miranda loves spending time with her family. Some of her favorite things to do include camping and fishing, baking, cheering on her boys at the ball field, and traveling to new places with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys spending time shopping with her mom.

A few fun facts about Miranda: she’s a proud doodle mom to a bernedoodle named Brutus and a mini goldendoodle named Beans 🐾. She also comes from a big family, being number 7 out of 8 siblings!

We are so grateful for the compassion, dedication, and experience Miranda brings to Rockland Ridge every day (and night!). Thank you, Miranda, for the incredible care you provide to our residents. 💛

We want to give a big thank you to Elisa from Hickory Creek for spending time with us at Rockland Ridge! 💛

She put together the cutest craft with our residents, and they absolutely loved it. The smiles, creativity, and laughter made it such a fun activity for everyone.

We truly appreciate you sharing your time and talents with our residents, Elisa! Thank you for helping make their day a little brighter. ✨

Happy Employee Appreciation Day!

Today we’re celebrating the amazing team who cares for our residents with so much compassion and heart each day. The kindness and dedication our staff shows does not go unnoticed, and our residents are lucky to have such a wonderful group of people looking out for them.

As a small thank you, we provided lunch and a few extra goodies for both our day shift and night shift staff today. It’s just a small way to show how much we appreciate everything they do.

Congratulations to our February Employee of the Month, Erin Coen! 🎉

Erin is a LPN who has been with us since we opened, and we are so thankful to have her as part of our team. She was nominated by several of her coworkers because of the patience and kindness she shows our residents every single day. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel cared for, comfortable, and respected. Her compassion and genuine heart for their care truly make a difference.

Erin is also always willing to step in and help whenever she’s needed, showing the same dedication and teamwork to her coworkers that she does to our residents.
