April's Doula Services

April's Doula Services I'm a proud mother of 2, grandmother to 3 & former foster mom to 4 siblings. My team of Doulas devote their lives caring for others.

We offer non-judgemental Birth & Postpartum Support, Overnight Newborn Care, End-of-Life Support & Educational Classes ❤️ Hi, I'm April & I'm a Certified, Trauma-Informed Doula as well as a Birth & Postpartum Educator. I have a passion for serving others and do so by providing Birth and Postpartum support as well as support and companion care for those facing End-of-Life transition. My passion for birth started after I unexpectedly delivered my first grandchild at my home and then again, a few years later, unexpectedly delivered another grandchild in the backseat of our car! I'm a proud mother of two grown children, former foster mom to a sibling group of four & “Mum” to three grandchildren. I reside in the Upstate with my high school sweetheart of 30 years & my blind kitty, Minnie. I enjoy coffee and taking my three grandkids on adventures. I've been a pastors wife for 23 years & have a calling to serve people in their most vulnerable times of life. I serve Upstate SC-Greenville, Anderson, Belton, Greenwood, Abbeville and surrounding areas. Let's chat over some coffee! ❤

You just handed your baby to a doula and... now what? 💤💗

✨ Wake up to a gentle update and a warm cup of encouragement.
✨ Need help with feeding tips or calming a fussy newborn? We’re there, not just for baby, but for YOU too.

You’re not “missing out": you’re getting the rest you deserve (and a sanity boost!).

You’ve probably heard the saying, “It takes a village.” But what does that village actually look like in the postpartum days?

Family and friends are your cheerleaders, comforters, and bringers of casseroles. But sometimes, even they need support (and a nap!). That’s where your doula steps in: offering practical help, emotional care, and up-to-date expertise, without judgment or pressure.

When doulas join your village, everyone wins. You get extra hands, reassurance, and someone who listens when you need to vent or need solidarity. Your loved ones get the freedom to simply *enjoy* time with you and baby.

Curious what this could look like for you? Only TWO spots left for DECEMBER! 💕 Tap to connect or DM!

Ever wonder what *actually* happens during your first overnight with a postpartum doula? Think less “stranger in the house” and more “teammate in your village.” ✨

Here’s what to expect:
• You get to REST! We’ll care for your little one so you can actually sleep (yes, it’s possible).
• Middle-of-the-night feedings? We’ll support you or handle bottles while you recharge.
• Judgment-free support: We’re here to answer questions, encourage you, or just let you breathe.
• Cozy, calming vibes: no stress, just reassurance and real talk.

There’s no gold star for doing it alone. Need a night off? You deserve it.

Curious? What would YOU want most from an overnight doula? 💭👇

A new study shows that high maternal stress during pregnancy can molecularly reprogram a newborn’s stress-response system. Researchers discovered that stress alters tRNA fragments (tRFs) in umbilical cord blood, affecting brain function and immune regulation.

The changes were especially pronounced in female newborns, while boys showed elevated levels of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), an enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, signaling differences in how stress affects each s*x from birth. Using machine learning, scientists could identify babies exposed to prenatal stress with 95% accuracy.

These findings highlight the importance of supporting maternal mental health, as stress during pregnancy can impact a child’s long-term neurodevelopment and risk for psychiatric conditions. Early detection could lead to better interventions and healthier outcomes for both mother and child.
