60 Years Ago Today – A Historic Moment in Healthcare 🇺🇸

On July 30, 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson traveled to Independence, Missouri, to sign Medicare into law. The very first American to enroll? Former President Harry S. Truman—right here in our own backyard.

🚨 Big Medicare News! 🚨
Your Medicare Part B premium is projected to jump in 2026!

Right now, most people are paying about $185 a month for their Part B premium. But starting January 2026, that’s expected to rise to $206 per month.

That’s a $21 monthly increase, which is larger than normal. Why? Medicare looks at inflation—but also how much people are using their benefits. With more doctor visits and procedures happening now than during COVID, costs are going up.

👉 This increase isn’t final yet—we usually get the official numbers in November, but projections rarely miss by much.

If you’re living on a fixed income, every increase matters. Let’s chat about ways to possibly reduce your Medicare costs. Programs like Medicare Savings Plans or Medicare Advantage might help you save.
