All of our donor centers will be closed Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10, to help slow blood collection. We are grateful to everyone who has answered the call to during this time, and we are shifting our efforts to not over-collect blood, as it has a short shelf life.

We are still requiring appointments, which can be made online at rrvbc.org or by calling 815-965-8751. These are being scheduled in the coming weeks, as the need for blood will be ongoing.

Thank you to Conrad and Kiley for being and for sharing the importance of donating blood amid concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus). It is safe to donate blood, and we need to maintain the local blood supply.

On Thursday, we’ll share details about the statewide , which encourages people to post a photo of them donating and tag 10 friends. If you are feeling healthy and well, please consider making an appointment at one of our four donor centers in Rockford, Belvidere or Freeport.
