We offer our condolences to the family of the late, Rev. Charles Edward Thurman, Sr., of Huntsville, AL.(formerly of Belzoni, MS). Rev. Thurman, 88, transitioned from labor to reward, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Windsor House Nursing Home in Huntsville, AL.

The public visitation “TBA” Friday, January 9, 2026, at Smith Funeral Home, Belzoni, MS.

The Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, January 10, 2026, 11;00 a.m., at Green Grove M. B. Church, in Belzoni, MS. The body will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

The burial will be at Sutton Cemetery, Belzoni, MS.

Officiating: Rev. Roosevelt Thurman, Sr.

Our beloved Rev. Thurman leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Rev. Robert Moore, Rev. Charles Thurman, Jr., Rev.
