🕯️❄️🌿🔥Happy Imbolc!-Which is a Celtic fire festival marking the midpoint between the winter solstice and spring equinox. It celebrates the first signs of spring, renewal, and the Goddess Brigid (who happens to be the patron saint of healers!) It is a lovely time to set intentions for the coming year and planting seeds both literally and metaphorically.

I love how different traditions throughout the world celebrate the changes within nature in a very similar way. ✨

In Chinese culture, we are about to embrace the year of the Fire Horse-it begins Feb. 17. It too represents fire and the beginning of a new cycle. This year will bring about swift changes. The fire horse burns away what’s no longer needed, making room for true growth. It’s about moving fast, being honest, and living with purpose.

It also happens to be the full moon-a snow moon in Leo. It’s a time to release emotional clutter, embrace inner strength, and boldly showcase your authentic self while navigating relationships with compassion.
With all of this big energy, I will return to the clinic on 2/2, after taking off four weeks to recover from hip surgery. I am excited to see all of you! I’ve also got some new offerings coming your way, so stay tuned!

In Chinese medicine, the Winter Solstice marks the deepest point of Yin and a pivotal energetic turning point in the year. Although it is the darkest and coldest time, it is also when Yang energy is reborn and begins its gradual ascent. This moment teaches the importance of stillness, rest, and conservation—protecting our vital essence by slowing down, warming the body, nourishing the Kidneys, and turning inward. Honoring the Winter Solstice reminds us that true growth begins in quiet, and that rest is not passive, but essential preparation for the renewal of spring.
