And that holding you through an experience of traditional authentic sauna with our trademark brand of what we coined as “hygge hospitality” and “hygge healing” - that is, holding healing space by using the simple often overlooked pleasures of any given moment (such as nature) and amplifying the tiny details of cozy to create a feeling of being deeply held and cared for 🙌🏼 - yep, it’s our “secret sauce”!!

It’s Saturday and while we’re always delighted when you choose to spend your hard earned dollars supporting our small, local, family run business, we also do what we do because we are fundamentally about supporting healthy experiences over things, connection over materialism, and slow living over fast consumption. Not to throw shade by any means because we’re also all about you doing you! That being said we are always grateful for your support and our carefully curated shop of limited high quality (mostly handmade and small batch) products are meant to support and elevate your sweat session! And you can also give your loved ones the gift of an unforgettable experience and time spent slowing down on the sauna bench - I know that’s on my list this year!

The world is heavy and our work has always been centered on lightening that load, creating and holding space for our community to heal, and fostering connection with nature, community and self.

In the sauna we shed our layers of identity and are brought into the recognition of our common flesh and blood. Sauna creates a safe space that tends to breed connection, conversation, and respectful exchange of ideas. It is our highest intention to continue to serve our community by holding space for all to come and heal and find a common thread with the human sitting across the bench.

Ya’ll!! We’ve been holding this in for a hot minute and it’s been sooo hard! 🙌🏼❤️🔥🤭🤫

HANAI SAUNA GARDEN!!!! 🌺🌺🌺
We are overjoyed 🥰🤗 to officially announce that we have found a new long term home !! That’s right we’re bringing traditional sauna and wild outdoor bathing to the East side of Bend starting next week!!! We’re starting a summer residency and are looking to build a long term home base and HQ for our network of wild spas and Hanai has been the most beautifully and perfectly aligned partner to graciously share space with us so we can mutually flourish and better serve our community!! We couldn’t be more grateful to have found such a truly kindred partner in Hanai!!
If you’ve somehow (gasp!) not heard of Hanai Foundation yet, check it out! It’s a nonprofit and design + intention forward sacred wellness space and community hub located on 9 beautiful acres on the East side of Bend! Hanai hosts all kinds of wellness and community events and activities year-round. The name comes from the Hawaiian word for “To Nurture” which couldn’t be more aligned with our mission at Gather: community and nature connection, inner nurturing!!
Some FAQ’s:
✅ This space will allow us to focus more on our events and wellness collaborations and unique sauna offerings: think herbal rituals and garden herbs, yoga, Breathwork, Meditation, & sauna + so much more! 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘‍♂️
✅ Yes! We still intend to continue our seasonal sessions at the river!! (Season Oct-May)
✅ there is no natural plunge at this location but we’ll have cold plunges, bucket showers, and hot/cold rain showers 🚿💦

Happy Mother’s Day! Sometimes I feel like sauna embodies what true material loving energy feels like. It’s holds you, it nurtures you, it asks you to just be yourself and it asks for nothing in return and loves you just as you are ❤️
Becoming a sauna mama while raising this little sweet pea has been the greatest joy and most vibrant journey I could ever imagine! It’s definitely challenging to raise a family while raising a business but it’s also sooo rich with that “good hard” kind of energy 💕🙌🏼 I’m so incredibly grateful for the privilege of being this little one’s mama and grateful for the chance to show her what following your dreams looks like! 🌈❤️
