I’m a Reiki practitioner, Yin and Restorative Yoga teacher, a 2025 graduate of the Namaspa 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, and a Hale P**e Ayurvedic Health Advisor in Training. After years of living in the lush, slow rhythms of Dominical, Costa Rica, I relocated to Bend, Oregon, where the beauty of the high desert continues to teach me presence and patience.⁣

Yin and Restorative yoga reminds me to slow down, soften, and listen inward. This next chapter of my life is about deepening into healing work and showing up for my community. My teaching is intuitive, grounded, and heart-centered. I believe yoga meets us exactly where we are—no experience needed, just a willingness to be present and open to your own path.⁣

This class offers the same essence as a Soulful Flow class, with extra time to settle in and explore more deeply. It is not a workshop or training, but an extended 90-minute experience designed to support presence, ease, and connection. The class begins with a gentle warm-up, then moves into approximately 50 minutes of slow vinyasa, shaped in response to student requests. From there, the pace softens into restorative postures that invite deep release. The experience concludes with an extended savasana, allowing time to rest, restore, and reconnect with inner stillness.⁣

The space for this class is mindfully infused with Reiki energy prior to the session. Reiki (pronounced “Ray-kee”) is a Japanese practice for stress reduction and relaxation that supports the body’s natural healing processes by working with life force energy. When this energy is balanced, we are better able to experience overall well-being.⁣

During the extended savasana, the instructor, a certified Reiki practitioner, will offer optional individual Reiki to those who wish to receive it. Reiki may be offered through light, brief hands-on contact or with hands held a few inches above the body, according to your comfort and preference.⁣

DATE: Saturday, 2/28, 2:30 - 4:00 PM⁣

I have had the honor and privilege of teaching yoga in the Bend community for the past 10 years. In 2013, I graduated from the 200 hour teacher training with Suzie Newcome at Namaspa and in 2017 I completed a 300 hour teacher training with Ulla Lundgren at The Yoga Lab. By being both a practitioner and teacher at the same, I have witnessed a more positive, calming, grounding and receptive shift in my spiritual, emotional, mental and physical being. Yoga, along with my meditation practice, has given me more insight into who I am as a person and how I show up in the world. It is through this knowledge that I live a more balanced, loving and peaceful life. ⁣

Come deepen your personal practice and/or teaching toolkit with this nourishing 12.5-hour exploration of three powerful practices: Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, and Chair Yoga.⁣

Facilitator Nance Lumpkin will demonstrate and teach how to both practice for yourself and/or guide accessible, grounding, and deeply healing classes that support short- and long-term nervous system regulation, inner awareness, and whole-person health and wellbeing.⁣

Designed for individuals who want to deepen their personal practice, and 200-hour YTT participants or graduates who want to continue their journey. This experiential training can stand alone, or count toward Namaspa’s 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.⁣

Throughout the training, participants will experience each modality directly while learning how to skillfully adapt and offer these practices to a wide range of bodies and life circumstances. Whether you are called to deepen your own capacity for rest or to bring these offerings into your teaching, this training provides a grounded, compassionate pathway into truly restorative yoga in three forms.

— Quotes from participants receiving services at Shepherd’s House Ministries⁣

At the Namaspa Foundation, our classes happen in many kinds of spaces — schools, recovery programs, adult and juvenile detention facilities. One such place is our weekly class at The Lighthouse Navigation Center, a 24/7 care and support facility run by Shepherd’s House Ministries for people experiencing houselessness in Central Oregon. The Lighthouse offers hygiene and health services, on-site case management, enrichment classes, and connections to community providers.⁣

The yoga + mindfulness sessions takes place in a big, open, multi-use space where life is happening all at once. Some folks are eating breakfast. Some are resting. Some are warming up after being outside. Some are charging phones, caring for pets, and gathering themselves.⁣

And then, for about 30 minutes, the room makes a shared agreement: participation is optional, but the space becomes quiet, calm, and respectful so anyone who wants to join can. Everyone stays in chairs. We breathe. Pay attention to the senses. Do gentle, seated movement. No pressure — just an invitation back into the body and the moment.⁣

This photo is of Jared Eisenhauer — a Namaspa Foundation teacher for nearly 3 years — and Robb Mills, who volunteers at the Lighthouse independently (and in his personal life is also a yoga teacher and handpan musician). Jared and Robb met at the Lighthouse, and now they’ve teamed up — Jared offering steady, compassionate instruction, while Robb’s handpan weaves soothing melodies throughout the space.⁣

It’s never perfect silence. But we think it's something possibly even more meaningful: shared dignity — a bit of harmony and peace, opted into by many, in the midst of everything.⁣

If you support the Namaspa Foundation, this is what you’re supporting: practices of regulation, presence, and humanity — offered week by week, in places where it's greatly needed and appreciated.

Shed the Old. Ignite What’s Next.

February 17 marks a rare alignment of the Lunar New Year and the New Moon, a powerful threshold where release and renewal meet.

This 75-minute restorative yoga practice invites you to slow down, soften, and reset as we close one cycle and quietly step into the next. Through fully supported postures, calming breathwork, and guided reflection inspired by the Fire Horse year, we’ll create space to let go of what’s complete and gently call in clarity, courage, and forward momentum.

Rather than pushing toward change, this practice honors the wisdom of pause. The New Moon offers stillness. The Lunar New Year offers intention. Together, they create the conditions for something new to emerge naturally.

Expect a calm, nurturing environment, thoughtful pacing, and time to integrate, leaving you feeling grounded, spacious, and softly energized.

No prior yoga experience required.
