Please help! St.Charles just shut down their outpatient clinics for the next two weeks. Our patients deserve to continue their therapy, but access is limited as everyone is practicing social distancing. Even if clinics are open many of our patients are vulnerable to this virus and are wisely choosing to stay home. Telehealth could solve this problem, but currently Medicare does not cover telehealth PT services. PLEASE SHARE AND SIGN

"This. This is what I’m worried about. Profit margins in PT businesses are exceptionally thin (often 4-7%, vs most businesses operating at 10-15% or better). A clinic with 50% Medicare caseload would be facing 2% margins, which isn’t sustainable. Either the clinic closes, or they stop taking Medicare patients. Either way, it’s the PATIENT that will lose out due to lack of access. Call DC, call your state reps, and fight this.".from a wise PT I know in Bend, Lisa Flexner. Great news!!

The U.S. cancer death rate dropped more than 2% between 2016 and 2017, the biggest single-year drop ever, according to the American Cancer Society. Better treatment for lung cancer is a factor.
