Today, we celebrate a major achievement - Devlin Funeral Home’s first year of business! The acceptance and trust we've earned from the community, especially from families who have entrusted us with their loved ones, have been truly humbling and we’ve been touched by the incredible support.

We have served 144 families with the loss of their loved ones over the past year as well as, over 245 families that were interested in pre-arrangements with our funeral home. We have also sent out $23,455 in contributions to chosen charities in memory of loved ones lost this year.

We’ve served families with passing of loved ones in Vermont, Massachusetts, Florida, New York, New Hampshire, Texas, Mississippi, Illinois, Idaho, and Colorado, and North Carolina during their time of need. We could not have done this without the support of all of you, and our appreciation runs deep for this incredible community, thank you all!

We’d also like to take a moment to thank our staff and surrounding partners that help us make day-to-day operations possible, we couldn’t do any of our work without them!

IMPORTANT SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Dr. Charles George Salem, 95, a native and long-time resident of Bennington, Vermont, died on February 11, 2026.

A funeral Mass for Charles will be held on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. At 9:30 am friends and relatives are invited to greet the family until the beginning of the mass.

The family will privately lay Charles to rest in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
