TRICARE

I just want to sit down with my brother, share a bowl of cheese dip, and have a beer.

Instead, he’s hundreds—sometimes thousands—of miles away serving this country.

Captain Bryan David Torres is one of our many “why’s” behind accepting TRICARE.

No matter where you fall politically, we can all agree on this:
Our active duty military and veterans deserve the best care—not second-rate healthcare delivered through a mailbox.

At West Side Pharmacy, we believe care should be personal. It should be local. It should come from a pharmacist who knows your name—not a call center rotating voices.

Now that we’re in-network with TRICARE, we see the numbers clearly.
And what we’ve found should concern every taxpayer.

In just two months, we’ve seen that Express Scripts is paying itself 25% more than what pharmacies like ours receive to care for these same patients.

This isn’t about West Side.
This is about a system that:

• Pays local pharmacies below cost
• Restricts patient access
• Pushes veterans toward mail order
• And quietly bills the government more in the process

That’s not efficiency. That’s a broken model.

And it’s exactly why many pharmacies won’t participate—leaving veterans with fewer choices and worse access.

Meanwhile, our service members are left navigating a system where:

No relationship exists
No continuity of care exists
And convenience is prioritized over quality

That should infuriate every American.

The good news—there’s movement.

Tom Cotton and Tim Kaine recently introduced the ACCESS Act to restore fairness, access, and transparency in the TRICARE pharmacy system.

We need your help.

• Encourage Arkansas legislators to continue pushing back against PBM abuse

Because this isn’t just policy.

It’s personal.
