✨ Checklist: Identifying OT Needs in Women ✨

Occupational Therapy isn’t just for injury recovery — it’s about supporting daily function, energy, and balance. Many women experience sensory, motor, or organizational challenges that impact everyday life without realizing OT could help.

Here are some signs that Occupational Therapy support might be beneficial:

🧠 Sensory Sensitivities
- Easily overwhelmed by sounds, lights, or textures
- Picky about clothing or food textures

💪 Motor & Physical Coordination
- Feeling clumsy or struggles with handwriting or fine motor tasks
- Getting tired or sore from daily self-care

⏰ Time & Task Management
- You’re often late, forget appointments, or feel disorganized
- Starting tasks but struggling to finish them

🌿 Overwhelm & Fatigue
- Daily routines feel exhausting or hard to maintain
- Needing frequent breaks or rest

💬 Social & Relationship Struggles
- Avoiding social settings due to fatigue or sensory overload
- Needing extra downtime after socializing

If these sound familiar, working with an Occupational Therapist can make a world of difference, supporting regulation, energy, and confidence in daily life. 💛

Get in touch with us if you think Occupational Therapy could benefit you!

🍂 Fall Almond Butter Toast & Brain Boosting Magnesium 🍂

Magnesium is a nutrient that supports brain health, nerve function, and mood. So start your morning with this recipe for a nourishing and seasonal meal, created by our Registered Dietitian Jennifer Meyers:

🎃 Recipe: FALL ALMOND BUTTER TOAST

1–2 slices of sprouted whole-wheat toast (we recommend Dave’s Killer Bread — yum!)
1–2 Tbsp almond butter
1 banana, sliced on top
1 Tbsp h**p hearts sprinkled on top
A sprinkle of cinnamon or cardamom

Why it works together:
Almond butter + h**p hearts = magnesium-rich goodness. The banana brings sweetness and potassium plus some carbs to fuel your morning without the crash.

As a plus you can easily tweak this recipe to your tastes (Pumpkin-spice lovers, we’re talking to you!)

☕ Hot tip:
Make it alongside your favorite warm drink, sit back, and enjoy your toast while the morning sun peeks in. That way it’s nourishing for both the brain and spirit. ✨

🌱 Happy Wellness Wednesday 🌱

You’ve probably heard of a ✨hot girl walk✨but did you know it’s more than a trend? It’s actually a powerful self-care ritual: step outside, breathe in some fresh air, and give yourself an affirmation.

Hot girl walks work from a mental health perspective, and here’s why:

🌿Walking in nature reduces stress, fatigue, and resets your attention levels.

🧘Mindfulness that includes gratitude actually improves your body’s ability to function

✨Combining mindfulness with movement helps you regulate your body’s nervous system, leading to a refreshed mind!

Parasympathetic (Rest/Digest): Brings calm and supports healing
Dorsal Vagal (Freeze/Shutdown): Protects you when overwhelm feels too great

Common stressors like postpartum changes, hormonal shifts, caregiving, work-life pressures, or past trauma can all impact your balance.
