Women’s service learning project - NWACC

Good day everyone,

As many of you may know, having a menstrual cycle is normal for all women. However, it is very expensive to get the things they need for that time of the month. All over the world women struggle to get hygiene products whether it’s because they can’t afford it, or they don’t have access to it. We, as NWACC students doing service learning, want to change that. We will be around campus collecting donations (pads, tampons, panty liners, razors, soaps, lotions, shampoo/conditioner, etc.) Any donation helps! We plan to donate these items to high schools around the area, our campus, and even some homeless shelters!

It's estimated that 500 million people live without access to adequate menstrual hygiene. Economic disruptions, like the recent pandemic, lead to women and girls losing access to critical hygiene products. The items in this wishlist will provide menstruators of all ages with basic necessities.
