THE TOP 5 GUT ISSUES HARMING MOST PEOPLE
If you’ve been dealing with bloating, brain fog, low energy, or stubborn digestive issues—you’re definitely not alone.
Many have already been given labels like IBS, IBD, Crohn’s, colitis, SIBO, or diverticulitis—but those diagnoses don’t actually explain why the issues began. They’re simply clusters of symptoms grouped under a name. In reality, most digestive problems stem from a small number of underlying causes that are rarely discussed in conventional medicine. And unless those root causes are addressed, medications and quick fixes only cover up symptoms—sometimes even making things worse.
Today, I’m breaking down the five most common reasons I see digestion go off track—and what you can do to finally get your gut back on course.
Most chronic digestive problems trace back to one or more of these five culprits:
1. Candida, yeast, or fungal overgrowth
2. Bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)
3. Parasites
4. H. pylori
5. Food sensitivities
✅ Candida & SIBO
Your gut will always contain some bacteria and yeast—but when either grows out of balance, that’s when problems start. Candida alone can release over 70 toxic byproducts, which can burden your mitochondria, liver, kidneys, brain, and immune system.
✅ Bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) can have a similar effect. When harmful strains crowd out beneficial bacteria, your immune system weakens and inflammation takes hold.
Common symptoms include:
• Bloating and gas
• Constipation or diarrhea
• IBS, heartburn, GERD, or reflux
• Acne, headaches, fatigue
• Anxiety, mood changes, and autoimmune flare-ups
Since roughly 80% of your immune system lives in your gut, any imbalance there can affect nearly every system in your body.
✅ Parasites
Parasites are far more common than most people think. They’re not just a risk when traveling abroad—you can pick them up from undercooked meats, fish, or even a salad bar. It’s estimated that about 1 in 4 people carry a parasite without knowing it. I’ve seen countless clients experience chronic fatigue, digestive distress, or unexplained symptoms—only to discover a hidden parasite. Once we completed a targeted cleanse, their system finally began to rebalance
✅ H. pylori
H. pylori is a bacteria that thrives in the stomach by producing an enzyme called urease, which helps it survive the acidic environment. It feeds on the stomach’s protective mucus and nutrients like amino acids, iron, and lipids—not the food you eat. However, diets high in processed foods, sugar, and low fiber can make it easier for H. pylori to thrive. Globally, over 4 billion people are estimated to have an H. pylori infection. While many never develop symptoms, in others it can lead to ulcers, gastritis, or even stomach cancer.
✅ Food Sensitivities
When your gut becomes inflamed—whether from candida, SIBO, parasites, or H. pylori—it can lead to leaky gut, where the intestinal lining becomes more permeable. This allows undigested food particles to slip into the bloodstream, triggering an immune response known as an IgG reaction. Your body then treats these foods like invaders, creating even more inflammation and worsening gut imbalance. That’s why you could be eating “healthy” foods—like eggs, nuts, or certain fruits—and still feel bloated, tired, or foggy afterward.
If you're truly looking for the hidden underlying root causes for why you can't get well, lose the weight, or fix your digestion, you must look deeper into healing the gut. I highly suggest that you start with testing so that we know exactly how to target the specific gut imbalance you are dealing with.
How to test for gut imbalances
✅Candida & SIBO: Candida, Metabolic, & Vitamins Lab
✅ Parasites, H. Pylori, SIBO: Bacteria, Parasites, Stool Lab
✅ Food Sensitivities: Food Sensitivity Lab
These 3 tests are going to give you a very comprehensive look into your gut health. If you can only start with one, I recommend the Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test.
