On the second Saturday of each month, join us for our Saturday Satsang & Bhakti session. We’ll open our hearts through such means as chanting mantras, the Hanuman Chalisa, Vedic verses, and Yoga Sutra; meditation; and study and discussion of yoga philosophy.

No experience is necessary - all that is needed is a willingness to open your heart.

Join us afterwards for a vegan potluck at 12:30pm.

We’re offering a new workshop series beginning March 6 at !

The Yoga of Spiritual Devotion: An 8-Week Journey into Bhakti Yoga with Sharada Devi & Kanhaiya Das

Bhakti Yoga — the yoga of love and surrender — invites us to open the heart as a gateway to divine realization. In this 8-week experiential study, we’ll journey through the core teachings of “The Yoga of Spiritual Devotion: A Modern Translation of the Narada Bhakti Sutras” by Prem Prakash, “Bhakti Yoga” by Swami Vivekananda, and Chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita, the classic discourse on the path of devotion.

Each two-hour session blends:

Sacred Chanting & Kirtan taught and led by Kanhaiya Das to awaken the heart’s natural devotion.

Guided Discussion with Sharada Devi drawing from the Bhakti Sutras, Swami Vivekananda, and the Gita.

Contemplation & Journaling to integrate the teachings into daily life.

Satsang (community sharing) to nurture connection and shared inspiration.

Together we’ll explore the living essence of Bhakti: love as a spiritual discipline, surrender as liberation, and service as worship.

Weekly Themes:

Week 1 – Opening the Heart: What is Bhakti? An introduction to the path of devotion

Week 2 – Narada’s Teachings: The nature of divine love and spiritual longing

Week 3 – The Obstacles to Love: Ego, attachment, and purifying intention

Week 4 – Practices of Devotion: Chanting, remembrance, ritual, and surrender

Week 5 – The Bhagavad Gita on Bhakti: Krishna’s teaching on loving devotion (Chapter 12)

Week 6 – The Wisdom of Vivekananda: The union of knowledge and love

Week 7 – Grace & the Guru: The power of humility and receptivity

Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of devotion, and through it we open our hearts and cultivate compassion and unconditional love for all beings. My Guru, Neem Karoli Baba, instructs those who are interested in enlightenment to follow the path of Bhakti by loving everyone, serving others, and remembering God.

Chanting the names of the Divine during kirtan is one of the ways we remember God and practice Bhakti Yoga. It’s a transformational practice open to all seekers. All that’s needed is a willingness to open your heart.

On Sat. 10/25, join us at 6pm for a service project followed by a vegan potluck.

We’ve used donations from our donation-based events at the studio to purchase items to create an initial 30 street kits for homeless folks. These contain some basic necessities to make someone’s day a little more comfortable and can be kept in your car to hand out to people as needed.

Then stay for from 7-9pm. (Kirtan is by donation to support the street kit service project.)

On Sun. 11/2, we have retuning to the studio for an evening of kirtan 7-9pm.

And we have a new 8-week workshop on Bhakti Yoga that begins March 6 led by and .

Join us on the Third Tuesday of each month from 8:00–9:00pm for our monthly Ram Dass Fellowship meeting! We gather at Satsang Yoga Studio in Berea, Ohio (just southwest of Cleveland).

Sacred community, or Satsang, is the place to find fellow truth-seekers on the path. Together we create a heart-filled space that deepens us into the practices and the teachings, and we provide a refuge for those hungry for connection, including ourselves. And collectively, we hold a wisdom that helps us remember when we forget.

In the Ram Dass Fellowship, we come together and share our authenticity under the umbrella of Ram Dass’s teachings and Maharaji’s blanket. During our monthly fellowship, we will either listen to or watch a teaching from Ram Dass; have discussion; meditate; chant mantra; and enjoy light vegan snacks and community.

This is a free event, but we will gratefully accept free will donations to our Street Kit service project which supplies daily necessities to unhoused people in the community.

For more information, please email info@satsangyogaberea.com or call/text Sharada Devi at 216-990-4443.
