Attain Physical Therapy is officially ranked #755 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America — placing us in the top 15% of all private companies in the nation.
Five years ago, this was unimaginable.
In early 2020, just weeks before COVID shut down the world, Matthew Cifelli, PT, DPT, CSCS Cifelli launched Attain PT. At home, he had a newborn in his arms. In his head, a million questions: Would there be any patients? Could a brand-new rehab company survive? Was this the right time — or the worst time — to start?
The world didn’t exactly offer reassurance. But what Matt did have was a mission — to prove that rehab could be done differently. That quality, compassion, and patient-first care could not only survive in a challenging healthcare environment… it could thrive.
Those first months were far from easy. Matt worked full-time jobs while serving as Attains sole provider, traveling to treat patients himself, sometimes unsure how the next week would unfold. There were ups. There were downs. There were moments that tested every ounce of grit.
But alongside one visionary community partner Sunrise Senior Living who believed in the mission, Attain pushed forward.
We listened to our patients. We invested in technology and systems to remove barriers to care. We built a culture where growth never comes at the expense of quality. And step by step, we turned a one-location startup into a multi-state leader in physical, occupational, and speech therapy — serving thousands each week.
Today, to be recognized by among the fastest-growing companies in America is humbling beyond words. It’s not just a number. It’s proof that belief, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right can create something extraordinary.
