As a sinus specialist and skull-based surgeon, Giant Lin, MD, treats patients with conditions that affect the anterior cranial base. Skull base pathology ranges from infectious and inflammatory conditions to congenital lesions and both benign and malignant tumors. The conditions can cause symptoms such as loss of sight, double vision, facial numbness and severe nasal bleeding. He also collaborates with neurosurgery to treat complex pituitary tumors.

“The skull base is one of the most intricate areas of the human body — where the brain, nerves and vital blood vessels all meet. It’s incredibly rewarding to help patients regain function and quality of life through such delicate, precise surgery,” he says.

Dr. Lin sees patients at Summit Health and is part of a multidisciplinary team that operates at Atlantic Health System’s Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center. This past year the Center was recognized by the North American Skull Base Society as a Multidisciplinary Team of Distinction.
