Joyful Light Reiki

Joyful Light Reiki I offer Jikiden Reiki. I have been practicing since 2013, teaching since 2015. Berkeley Springs WV The ancient Hawaiiians called it ti or ki. Nancy

The awareness that an unseen energy flows through all living things and directly affects the quality of a person's health has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. This life energy goes by many names: qi in China, ki in Japan, and prana in India. It has also been called or gone energy and élan vital, and science refers to it as biofield energy. Reiki is a Japanese word formed from two other words - Rei meaning universal and Ki meaning energy = universal energy. When your life energy is low, it is more difficult to deal with stress; you may not sleep well, and you're more susceptible to illness. When your life energy is strong, you feel strong, can deal more easily with stress, and are less likely to get sick. Reiki is a Japanese relaxation and healing technique that helps to stimulate the body's natural healing ability thus increasing a person's supply of energy. In a Reiki session, the Reiki is administered through the hands of the Reiki practioner with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table. A session usually lasts between 45 minutes to an hour and a half and shorter sessions are also possible. The Reiki practioner places his or her hands at locations around the head and shoulders, the abdomen and on the legs and feet. Tissue is not manipulated. The practioner's hands are simply held at at each location, lightly touching or slightly away from the body. Reiki energy flows from the practioner's hands and into the client's body and energy field. A Reiki session can feel like a wonderful glowing radiance that surrounds and fills the client and includes feelings of relaxation, peace and well-being that also promote healing. Sometimes after a Reiki session, the client can feel sluggish and maybe not so good. This can be a sign the body is naturally clearing out toxins. This feeling will pass. Drinking water and resting can ease the cleansing process. To schedule a session, please rsvp here by a message or to my email - joyfullightreiki@gmail.com. Thank you and have a peaceful day.

President Trump acknowledged the presidential immunity ruling from the Supreme Court would likely protect Barack Obama from Trump-fabricated “treason” charge...

Sometimes people think that the object of meditation is to stop thinking, but this is not true. It is a very important part of our humanness that we are able to think. We're not trying to blank out. What use would that be? We are trying to wake up, not put ourselves to sleep. What we are trying to do is to, first of all, understand our thinking, our conceptual thinking mind, so that we recognise: this is not who we are.

Things to remember:

Why does a simple walk for peace touch our hearts so deeply?

Right now, monks are walking thousands of miles across America — quietly, peacefully, without signs or noise.
And somehow… people are crying, slowing down, and remembering what calm feels like.

In a world that is overstimulated, overworked, and overwhelmed, gentleness feels revolutionary.

This walk isn’t trying to convince anyone.
It’s simply peace in motion — and our nervous systems recognize it instantly.

Maybe peace isn’t something we wait for.
Maybe it’s something we practice in small, everyday ways.

Slow down.
Breathe deeper.
Choose kindness.
Let simple be enough.

You don’t wait for joy.
You place yourself on the path to it.

🤍 Peace. Compassion. Love.

I saw this on my walk this morning ❤️

Deep within, lies a well of abundance. Filled with a knowing, a love far greater than we can image.
A connection that fills us like a warm embrace.
Self compassion, empathy and acceptance for all that is brings us closer.
May empathy walk the path, arms open wide, embracing the differences.
