Traveling for the holidays? ✈️🚗

Between long hours of sitting, skipped workouts, and extra stress, it’s common to feel pelvic discomfort, pressure, or urinary urgency flare up this time of year.

Here’s why:
🧳 Sitting too long tightens the pelvic and hip muscles.
💨 Stress causes breath-holding and muscle tension.
💧 Dehydration makes tissues more sensitive.

The good news? A little awareness helps.
Get up and move every hour, take deep belly breaths, and drink plenty of water.

Pelvic health isn’t just about therapy sessions. It’s about how you care for your body every day. 💙

Bikers often chalk groin pain up to a bad seat. But there’s more happening beneath the surface.

Prolonged sitting, nerve compression, poor hip alignment, and even breathing habits can all contribute to pelvic floor tension.
When those muscles become tight or overactive, pain can show up in unexpected ways 👉 groin discomfort, numbness, or pressure.

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help by:
✅ Improving posture and hip mobility
✅ Teaching pressure management while breathing
✅ Reducing pelvic tension to restore comfort

Cycling shouldn’t hurt. It should feel freeing.
If pain or numbness is getting in the way, it might be time to get your pelvic floor checked. 💙

These symptoms aren’t “just part of getting older” or something you have to push through — they’re signs your pelvic floor needs support.

A pelvic floor PT can:
✔️ Identify what’s actually causing your symptoms
✔️ Teach you how to relax or strengthen the pelvic floor
✔️ Improve bladder control + reduce urgency
✔️ Support recovery after prostate surgery
✔️ Reduce pain and restore normal movement patterns

✨ You deserve to feel strong, confident, and in control — at every age.
If something feels off, don’t wait. A conversation with a pelvic floor PT can be the first step toward real relief.

We’ve all done it. Grabbed our phone and scrolled a little too long while “trying to go.”

But here’s the thing, you shouldn’t need more than 5–10 minutes to have a bowel movement. If it’s taking longer, or if you’re straining and turning red, your pelvic floor may not be relaxing the way it should.

When those muscles stay tight or uncoordinated, it can make bowel movements difficult and uncomfortable and that’s something pelvic floor physical therapy can help with.

💙 Awareness is the first step.
If this sounds familiar, it might be time to check in with your PT.

Constipation is more than a digestion problem, it can be a pelvic floor problem too.

When pelvic muscles can’t relax or coordinate properly, it becomes harder to empty the bowel completely, leading to straining, bloating, and discomfort.

Pelvic physical therapy helps retrain those muscles, improve coordination, and make bowel movements easier and more natural.

If you’ve tried every diet change and supplement but still struggle, it may be time to look deeper — your pelvic floor might be the missing piece. 💙

There’s a lot of misinformation out there about men’s pelvic health — and it keeps too many men from getting the care they deserve.

Pelvic floor therapy isn’t just for women — it helps men regain bladder control, reduce pain, and improve sexual health and confidence.

If you’ve noticed leaking, pelvic or testicular pain, or changes after prostate surgery, don’t ignore it. These issues are common but not normal.

✨ Reach out to Level Up PT this Men’s Pelvic Health Month to learn how we can help.
