We are a peer-to-peer financial wellness program housed in the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office at UC Berkeley. We offer workshops and one-on-one appointments to help students manage their personal finances in college and beyond. Although we are based in the Financial Aid and Scholarships office, we do not provide financial aid counseling. 🚨 Student loan changes are coming in 2026.

A new federal law will change some major parts of the student loan system, including:
• Loan proration
• Graduate borrowing limits
• Parent PLUS loans
• Income-driven repayment plans

While nothing changes for the 2025–26 school year, new rules begin July 1, 2026.

Many students arrive at UC Berkeley without clear guidance on budgeting, loans, credit, or navigating unexpected financial challenges.

The Center for Financial Wellness provides free peer coaching and workshops to help students build financial confidence and stability.

During Big Give, even a modest gift makes a meaningful impact:
