We at CEID are so exciting to announce our new program - Play and Communicate! A social recreation group uniquely designed to help children who are Deaf Plus connect, learn, and grow through play!

Led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and built on neuroaffirming, language-rich, and connection-driven practices. This 16-week program is all about joy, inclusion, and communication for every child. ❤️

-Ages 3–8
-Starting November 5 | Wednesdays, 3–5pm

Kudos to Isabel Lee, CEID Toddler Teacher, and Jessica Salaam, CEID Preschool Teacher, for their excellent and informative presentations at the 2025 UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland Pediatric Audiology & Speech Conference last Friday!

The conference brought together nearly 200 education and healthcare providers to focus on best practices for supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing Plus (DHH+) and vulnerable children and their families. Our team not only learned from other expert presenters but also cheered on Isabel and Jessica as they shared their strategies and insights:

Isabel Lee: “Meeting Sensory Needs to Support Successful Learning and Engagement for DHH+ Children”
Jessica Salaam: “Growth Mindset and Strategies to Accommodate Deaf+ and Vulnerable Children”
