The mission of the UC Berkeley AMSA Chapter is to foster the next generation of passionate, dedicate

At AMSA, we strive to provide our members with the premiere, holistic, and comprehensive PreHealth experience at Cal. We are committed to helping Berkeley students take full advantage of helpful resources on campus. Our supportive network and focus on family serves as a foundation for cultivating a strong and healthy PreHealth community on campus. We believe that diversity, holistic team-based care, integrative care, and innovative research/technology will be at the heart of modern medicine. Sharing information to enhance our education and understanding of the dynamic world of healthcare is essential for equipping our members with the tools to help lead the healthcare revolution. Our annual PreHealth Conference is a nexus for taking the first steps on a sacred journey into a rewarding career in healthcare. Our various committees allow Berkeley AMSA members to further pursue their interests and contribute to the PreHealth culture on campus, while making a meaningful impact on the greater Bay Area. Bridging PreMed students with Medical Students through our UCSF Mentorship Program gives our members a key insight into the makings of a strong applicant for admission into medical school. In addition, our student organization—founded in the 1990s and supported by the ASUC—provides complementary advice for navigating the Berkeley PreHealth experience by pairing lowerclassmen with upperclassmen as part of a unified Family System to strengthen academic success and garner lifelong memories at Cal.
