St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated by our whole community throughout the day. Everyone was all decked out in green to show there Irish!

Walking by the celebration, seeing everyone together singing was very touching. It shows that not only are we a community, but a family. It’s a one of the many moments we are truly proud to be apart of with each one of our residents.

‘Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.’— Muhammad Ali. Our residents demonstrated this concept by coming together, making 120 sandwiches, donating coats and blankets, contributing funds to secure six cases of water, and one resident even crocheted 30 hats.

This month consisted of a multitude of celebrations including Groundhog Day, Presidents’ Day, Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, and Ramadan. We strived to honor all these occasions, wrapping up with our Ramadan festivities.

Each month, we share advice from the wisest members of our Spring Oak family: our residents. It’s one small way we continue to elevate their voices and honor the lives they’ve lived.
