Offering independent living, skilled nursing and therapy services, long-term care, and a secure neighborhood for Alzheimer's/Dementia individuals. Meadow View Nursing Center is a not-for-profit skilled nursing facility located in the heart of the beautiful Laurel Highlands. Meadow View is a 150 bed licensed facility which brings together rehabilitation, nursing care and specialty medical services to meet the needs of older adults in Somerset County and the surrounding areas.

April 16th was National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day, and some of our staff definitely understood the assignment! 😄

There’s nothing quite like showing up to work already dressed for bed—talk about saving time on your morning routine! We had lots of laughs seeing everyone in their cozy PJs and enjoying a more relaxed (and comfy!) day.

I guess you could say some of us really rolled out of bed and straight into work… no outfit change required! 😂

It was a fun way to bring some smiles and a little extra comfort to the day for both staff and residents!

We’re excited to introduce Tressa Bailey, one of our dedicated team members who has been a part of the Meadow View family for 17 years!

Tressa started her journey as a dietary cook and has grown into her current role as Assistant Dietary Services Manager — a true testament to her hard work and commitment.

Outside of work, Tressa enjoys spending time with her two daughters, going camping, and cheering on family at her son’s motocross races. 🏕️🏍️

Her favorite part about Meadow View?
“The amazing people I’ve worked with — many of whom have become lifelong friends. I also love getting to know the residents, hearing their stories, and learning from their life experiences.” ❤️

We had a wonderful visit from our Interim team, who spent some time planting flowers alongside our residents! 🌸

It was such a great way to bring everyone together—getting our hands a little dirty, sharing laughs, and enjoying the beauty of spring. Our residents truly loved being part of the planting process and watching their pots come to life with color.

Moments like these create such meaningful connections, and we’re so thankful for the time spent together. We can’t wait to watch our flowers grow and brighten up our space!

We had the opportunity to take some of our residents out to visit the Flight 93 National Memorial. It was such a beautiful day—the sun was shining, the air was fresh, and it made for the perfect setting to spend time together outdoors.

As we walked the grounds, many of our residents shared their memories and stories from that day. It was a meaningful experience to reflect, listen, and honor those lives together. There were moments of quiet, moments of conversation, and so much appreciation for being able to be there.

We truly enjoyed the fresh air, the peaceful surroundings, and the time spent connecting with one another. Days like today remind us how important it is to get out, share stories, and make memories together. ❤️

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to UPMC Hospice for spending time with our residents and bringing such joy to our community! 🎨

Bobbi, came in and hosted a wonderful cotton swab portrait painting activity that everyone truly enjoyed. The residents had a fantastic time expressing their creativity, sharing laughs, and connecting with such kind and compassionate individuals.

Moments like these mean so much, and we are incredibly grateful for the care, dedication, and positivity that UPMC Hospice brings to our residents. Thank you for making the day so special and memorable! 💙

We had a great time celebrating Peanut Butter & Jelly Day with our staff! 🥪🎉

Everyone enjoyed classic PB&J sandwiches while sharing laughs and spending time together. It was a fun and simple way to bring everyone together and appreciate the little things.

We had a little friendly debate during our Peanut Butter & Jelly Day celebration… 🍓🍇 Staff cast their votes for their favorite jelly—grape or strawberry—and the winner was… strawberry! 🍓🎉
