We wrapped up our first 100 hours of 300 hour yoga teacher training with a field trip to the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham this past weekend. We are missing one of our beautiful yogis from our group as she was not feeling well. We missed her tremendously and will go back with her. This is definitely something to be seen, taken in and discussed. Magnificent doesn’t even come close to describing it. The seva alone was jaw-dropping.
There was definitely an aspect about it that ran through our minds. We delved into that conversation and many more. Our 300hr. group is so impressive, there is never a lack in deep insights. This was yet another way for us to immerse ourselves within culture, community and gain experiences that continues to grow us within our practice and as humans walking this earth.
Life is a crazy ride! And the more you know about it, the less it can take life away from you.
For those who have been inside the temples. A question…….. do you think the choice of all white marble was to represent the all-encompassing nature of existence, (aka, the big picture)?
We first see it as just brilliant white light (like when being born and also when we leave). And then when your entity becomes more at ease and interested, the details start to emerge. The paying attention happens with no attachment. It felt beautiful. It gave me/us a way to familiarize ourselves with something so glorious yet no attachment. We don’t get that when we are born, we attach ourselves immediately to everything and live out of those attachments. I absolutely loved this as this was my take on first encountering it. What did you think?
