Last night was a beautiful celebration of creativity at the Davie County SilverArts Competition, and we are so proud of the incredible talent shared by our community. 💛

Linda Fossier and Sharon Phelps both participated, and their work truly captured the heart and spirit of artistry in such unique ways.

Sharon’s stunning quilt, “Egyptian Princess,” is absolutely breathtaking—full of intricate detail, bold color, and storytelling that draws you in. A huge congratulations to her for earning 1st place—so well deserved! 🥇

Linda’s beautiful painting is just as special, capturing such a warm and touching moment between a young boy and his loyal companion. The emotion and softness in her work is something that truly resonates and leaves a lasting impression.

⭐We’re hiring for a Night Shift LPN (7:00pm–7:00am) at Bermuda Village! 🌙

If you’re a compassionate, dependable nurse who enjoys making a real difference, we’d love to have you on our team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality care to our residents by assisting with daily living needs, administering medications, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring their overall safety and well-being. You’ll also help lead and support a team of CNAs while working closely with other healthcare professionals.

We’re looking for someone who communicates well, works both independently and as part of a team, and has a genuine passion for caring for the elderly. Flexibility and a strong commitment to resident safety, dignity, and quality of life are essential.

What an unforgettable afternoon 💛

From the first toss to the final point, this co****le tournament was so much more than a game… it was laughter echoing across the living room, new friendships forming in real time, and a community coming together in the most beautiful way.

There were cheers, a little friendly trash talk 😉, and so many moments that reminded me just how special this group truly is.

And a huge congratulations to our champions 🏆

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr. Gene Hooks. His impact on our community will be felt for years to come.

Dr. Hooks had a special vision in establishing our beautiful Japanese Garden—a peaceful space meant for reflection, connection, and appreciation of nature. It stands today as a lasting tribute to his passion for creating something meaningful for others to enjoy.

A wonderful way to honor his memory is to spend time in the garden he helped bring to life—walking its paths, enjoying its beauty, and embracing the sense of calm it offers.

Out of 31 competitors, this year’s bracket had everything—upsets, busted brackets, and some SERIOUS last-minute shakeups. It truly came down to the wire, and every point mattered!

🥉 3rd Place: Maureen Orbock — holding it down with a strong finish!
🥈 2nd Place: Ozzie — always in the mix and keeping the pressure ON!
🥇 1st Place Champion: Bob Parizek — our 2026 Bracket MVP!! 👑🏆

And of course… we cannot forget the most coveted award of all 😂👇
🏅 Last Place Medal: Clee (Healthcare) — because someone’s gotta keep it humble!!
