Pelvic Stability PT

Pelvic Stability PT My name is Elizabeth Stryker. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) specializing in pelvic health.

The pelvic floor plays a vital role in the health of the genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and musculoskeletal systems of the body, yet symptoms of an improperly functioning pelvic floor may be difficult to identify, embarrassing to talk about, and dismissed by providers. Pelvic floor dysfunction can manifest as urinary leakage, constipation, frequent nighttime urination, and pain with vaginal insertion, amongst other symptoms. I am passionate about empowering client to feel confident and in control of their pelvic floor. My goal when someone works with me is that they leave with a feeling of relief - that they have a plan, that someone listened to them, and that they will have the tools to help themselves!

Building community takes one brick at a time. We are starting to lay down those bricks and it feels right.

Thank you so much to those who came out, donated to the food bank, and were willing guinea pigs for this idea - to bring us together, to strengthen our nervous systems, to dance like no one is watching. Choosing peace and joy is where it’s at!

Meditation thoughts
It doesn’t have to be fancy
It can be anything daily practice 5-10 minutes where you don’t have other distractions

Daily without distraction is 🔑 key

You will get more and more comfortable with yourself and your own head and there is real power in that.

Try it! Tell me how it goes for you 🙏💫

Happy Galentines - it’s not lost on me how lucky I am to have found such an amazing fellow human. Multiple people at the course we took this week assumed we worked together at the same clinic… nope we are competitors!
We both have our own businesses, doing the same work, a few miles away. It may confuse some people, but turns out? We have elevated each other in all the ways since crossing paths last year. I would highly recommend Dani to anyone! Pelvic PTs are my favorite.

Thank you to the one and only wonderful Maria for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏💕

Friendly reminder… write the review! One minute of your time could legit make another person’s entire day = instant good karma!

I just wrote 2 reviews of practitioners I works with this week and it felt so good to shine a light on them 🤗

Nervous System strengthening

Neck range of motion - 5-10xs head side bends, nodding, rotation, figure 8s

Complete the cycle, let your brain and body know it is safe in this moment - there is no tiger chasing you!

You get to show up better this way.

Hourglass Syndrome aka sucking in belly, gripping with upper abdominal muscles

Can lead to:
Constipation
PF issues (pain, prolapse, weakness, etc)
Neck pain/tension
Low back pain
Headaches

(I often end up going on a rant about the patriarchy here - I find many of us holding tension in our abdomen to attempt to have that flat stomach appearance)

Nervous system reset - tapping/jumping!

5-10xs throughout your body to help your nervous system feel calm and complete the cycle. Benefits for any age!

Ps if you are afraid of leakage with jumping ☎️📞 me up 😉

More nervous system regulation, vagus nerve take the wheel!!

Tossing a ball back and forth is effective and simple - it’s rhythmic, activating both hemispheres regulating the autonomic nervous system. The helps the vagus nerve, the rest and digest nerve take the wheel!
