Childhood trauma can quiet the mind–body connection.

We learn to override our own signals to attend to others.

This year, practice slowing down.
Notice. Name. Be curious.

Awareness—held with gentleness—is where healing begins.

Your mind is a garden—and you are the gardener.

Thought patterns, self-talk, and daily habits shape what grows.

Therapy helps you notice what needs tending, what needs pruning, and what deserves more care. 🌱

New Year’s Eve can hold both relief and grief.

If you’re proud of surviving, that counts.

If you’re hopeful, that counts too.
Carry forward what brought you peace—leave the rest behind. 🌱

As the year closes, this is a good moment to pause as a couple—not to fix, but to notice.

What brought us closer?
What created distance?
What did we survive together?
What one thing are you most grateful for going forward?

Growth in marriage often looks quieter than we expect—but it’s still growth. 🤍

Small joys matter more than we think.
A quiet moment. A deep breath. A laugh you didn’t expect.
They don’t fix everything—but they steady us.
And sometimes, that’s enough for today. 🤍

Anyone else LOVE the New Year? I love a new journal, a fresh calendar, and a whole year full of possibilities! But it’s so easy to fall into the trap of setting unrealistic goals and pressure-filled “resolutions.”

This year, as we step into 2026, let’s choose resolutions that support our mental health, not drain it—resolutions that strengthen who we are at the core.

Instead of chasing perfection, consider setting gentle intentions that create space for growth, peace, and healing:

- Choose presence over pressure
- Practice rest before burnout
- Look for progress, not perfection
- Set healthy boundaries with yourself and others
- Offer more self-compassion and less self-criticism
- Reconnect with your body
- Honor your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs
- Let go of unforgiveness

Your worth isn’t measured by how productive you are—it’s reflected in how you live, how you care for yourself, and how that care naturally overflows to others.

May this year be one of clarity, healing, and quiet courage.
Here’s to a more grounded you in the year ahead. ✨

As this year comes to a close, I want to pause and say how truly grateful I am—for the courage you’ve shown, the growth you’ve pursued, and the trust you’ve allowed me to be part of.

Christmas is a beautiful reminder that light still breaks through, even in the seasons that feel heavy. Whether this year brought joy, challenge, healing, or a mix of everything, I hope you’ll give yourself permission to rest, reflect, and honor how far you’ve come.

May this season bring moments of peace, clarity, and gentle hope.
May you feel supported, grounded, and reminded that you are not alone.

Thank you for letting me walk with you on your journey.

Wishing you a Christmas filled with warmth, gratitude, and quiet healing.

Your window of tolerance is your mental/emotional “green zone.” When you’re in it, you can think clearly and handle stress. When you slip above or below it, your body shifts into survival mode.

Here are quick signs you’re leaving your window:

-Body: tension, racing heart, restlessness, numbness
-Emotions: intensity rising fast
-Thoughts: all-or-nothing, overwhelmed, scattered
-Behavior: snapping, withdrawing, avoiding, shutting down

A simple daily check-in helps:

How do I feel in my body?
How are my emotions today?
Where are my thoughts today?
Am I functioning out of a managed window of tolerance, or am I functioning out of survival mode?

Use grounding exercises, breathing, movement, and short breaks to gently bring yourself back into the "green zone."

Self-awareness is the first step toward staying regulated.
