🐴✨ SHAKING OFF THE SPOOK ✨🐴

Ever watched a horse spook, snort, and then shake it all out before going back to grazing?

That’s regulation in action — their nervous system saying, “I’m safe again.”

Humans forget to do that part.
We hold it in.
We tense, apologise, keep it polite, stay “professional.”
Meanwhile, our body never gets the message that the danger’s over.

So today’s challenge:

Shake like a pony who’s just had a good spook.
Loosen your shoulders. Wiggle your fingers. Bounce your knees.
Let your body do what it’s built to do — complete the stress cycle.

Because regulation isn’t always stillness.
Sometimes it’s a good shake, a deep sigh, and a reminder that you made it through.

Billy Bob thought he needed a dusting off with a roll in the dirt after his excerise session Wednesday afternoon. Afterwards he was intrigued by the camera and wanted to take a selfie as I was videoing him.

A little exercise to finish off our Wednesday afternoon before the sun went down. JuneBug was lucky on her run we found some friends to stop and have a break with. JuneBug was loving all the attention.

The start of a headache coming on. You know that dull ache that you’re not sure what it is. Then you realize maybe you’re a little tense in the shoulders and neck area. Now what, how bad and how fast is it going to get worse.
🐴🐴 That’s the moment I join the horse and “BE STILL”. Billy Bob comes to my rescue. He steps up to eat some hay and realizes I need him for a bit of time. He calmly stand there as I run my fingers among his winter coat. So soft and so calming Billy Bob and God help me let go of the things that I have knotted up in my body/muscles as I pray.
