Celebrating 100 Years of Evelyn Snook! 🎉

LIFE Geisinger Lewistown proudly celebrated participant Evelyn Snook as she turned 100 years old today! Staff, family and fellow participants gathered for a joyful party honoring her incredible milestone.

Evelyn credits her longevity to “working hard and living life the best I can.” Her resilience is an inspiration — and her kindness brightens our center every day.
Senator Judy Ward also stopped by to present Evelyn with an official citation recognizing her life and contributions.

Gisela Dreese, RN, can’t wait to move into the new, larger Geisinger Cancer Center Lewisburg facility being built just down the road from where her team works now. Because that means she can keep providing advanced cancer care to the people of Union County, right in her hometown. As a Lewisburg native, Gisela’s deep passion for being an oncology nurse — a role she’s held for over 26 years — comes from caring for patients she knows personally.

“The most rewarding part is when I go into the clinic and I take care of my high school friends, their families, people who’ve known my family since before I was born,” Gisela said. “They get so excited that I’m there, because then they’re not so scared. That’s why I’m here.”
