Manita is coming in today to pick up the donation we have so far and I am so proud of what our community is doing. I have lived in Berwick for 15 years now and I am constantly uplifted by the ability of community members to come together in times of need. Thank you for your donations. Let’s keep it going!

Being a member of BPW is exactly what you make it. One of the best ways to make the most of your experience and membership, is to get involved in one or more of our committees. It takes all hands on deck to make this club enjoyable and effective for all of us. Each member and committee plays a crucial role in our clubs growth and success.

Are you a great party/event planner? Maybe you’re good at numbers and finance? Are you artsy? We have so many committees to join where your talents can shine & make a difference! Not only do you get to contribute to your own experience, but you help to better the experience of our sisters as well. Committees allow for further networking, friendships to form, creativity to flow and voices to be heard.

Today starts National Business Women’s Week! Each year we take this week to celebrate the accomplishments of women as leaders in business. Right here in Berwick, we have women growing their own businesses, keeping multinational companies thriving, and supporting the future of women in our community. Below is a proclamation from our governor given to BPWPA to honor this week.
On Wednesday you can join us to celebrate the origin of our local BPW chapter as we go back in time to dress up as Rosie the Riveters for the Elks Halloween Parade. Berwick BPW started in 1944, as the war was winding down and women who had be working to support the war effort realized that their jobs may be in jeopardy. Stay tuned for photos of women who wore the uniforms proudly.

I am proud to be a member of the Berwick Business and Professional Women’s Club for 15 years and no more so than when we are able to really help the community. We are doing a food drive to help Nescopeck Area Community Cupboard this month. With the loss of SNAP benefits, many families and individuals in our community are going to be lacking essential food items this month. So if you have a little extra to give, please consider brining items to the office. They are looking for peanut butter, canned chicken and tuna, and canned vegetables. Instant mashed potatoes are also very helpful.

I have volunteered to be the drop off point for five of items to go to Nescopeck Area Community Cupboard. With SNAP benefits not going out in November, many local families will need extra help. If you can give a single item, it will help. If you need help, please ask. We have many resources here in town and I will point you in the right direction.

CALL TO ACTION: HELP US STOCK THE SHELVES!

Attention Berwick BPW Members & Community— Now through November 4th, we are collecting donations for the Nescopeck Food Cupboard to help fight food insecurity — right here in our own backyard!

Families are facing immediate hardship due to the suspension of SNAP benefits in November, and the need is URGENT. Our state project is to ensure no one goes hungry, and that starts with us.

🍗Canned meats (i.e. canned tuna & chicken)
