DCC offers professional mental health counseling focused on helping community residents navigate life's transitions by providing expert yet affordable care

Daemion Counseling Center is a grass-roots, community-based mental health counseling center. Since 1970, we have continuously served clients in southeastern Pennsylvania (Chester, Delaware, Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia counties). As a small and responsive organization, we are able to see clients within days of their call. We offer intimacy and proficiency of a private practice with the flexibility of a counseling center. Daemion’s services rely on the expertise of our licensed therapists, counselors, and Master level interns, and their ability to help clients learn, change, and grow. Daemion Counseling Center’s highly qualified staff uses innovative and time-honored therapy models, careful examination of individual client progress and outcomes, and participation in ongoing professional education to establish and maintain credibility in the counseling field. We treat clients from age 14 and up. Daemion adheres to ACA ethical guidelines concerning confidentiality. No client information is given to anyone without the written authorization of the client. Hours by appointment only.

What a success! Board President and Board Member hosted the first annual kickball fundraiser for Daemion this past weekend. We are grateful to everyone who attended to support mental health and the work we do, thank you!!

We’re proud to announce that our organization has received an annual grant from the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation!

This funding will help us fulfil our mission to provide grant-funded and affordable mental health services and programs to residents in our community.

We’re grateful for PCHF’s partnership and their commitment to empowering local community-based nonprofits like ours!

Thank you Phoenixville Community Health Foundation for inviting us to host a round table today “Minimizing Burnout & Improving Retention in the Nonprofit Sector.”

Laura Serinsky, LCSW and Kathleen Wong had a great turnout of nonprofit leaders who shared firsthand experiences around burnout and what has helped in the day to day management of stress. As we shared tips and stories, the common theme was we are in this work because there is a love and passion for what we do and the individuals we serve, and recognizing that this drive can take a toll on our mental and physical health.

For 90-minutes today, we built community and found comfort in knowing we are not alone. Connections are key to success in this work. A heartfelt thank you to all the participants who showed up today to share and observe.

We are so grateful and lucky to have the support of this amazing group!! Our Annual Board Meeting was a great success as we gathered to discuss accomplishments of the past year and share goals for the upcoming year.
