Today, we mourn the loss of a giant. Rev. Jesse Jackson, a towering voice for justice, equality, and hope, has peacefully passed away at the age of 84.
From marching alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to becoming a two-time presidential candidate, Rev. Jackson dedicated his life to the fight for civil rights and social justice. He founded the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, championed voting rights, fought against discrimination, and opened doors for generations to come.
His powerful voice echoed in the halls of power and on the streets where justice was needed most. He negotiated with world leaders, held corporations accountable, and never stopped believing in the promise of a more just America.
Rev. Jackson showed us that one voice, raised in righteousness, can move mountains. His legacy lives on in every person who continues to fight for equality, in every barrier broken, and in every dream realized.
"Keep hope alive!" - his rallying cry will forever inspire us.
