Today we honored eleven graduates for their completion of P.E.E.R. training at Bethany Village. The P. E .E.R. program is sponsored by the office of the long-term care ombudsman. The Pennsylvania Department of aging encouraged a partnership between residents and the facility staff. The program trained the residents to advocate and to work with the facility staff and fellow residents to solve concerns and enhance the quality of life for their ‘peers’.
