In honor of National Handwashing Week!!

🧼 12 Surprising Handwashing Facts That Might Change Your Habits 🖐️

Did you know something as simple as washing your hands can drastically reduce your chances of getting sick? Here are a few eye-opening facts:

✅ Up to 80% of illnesses are spread by touch
✅ Handwashing can prevent about 30% of diarrhea-related sicknesses
✅ Dirty hands spread colds, flu, and pneumonia when you touch your face
✅ About 1.8 million children under the age of 5 die each year from diarrheal diseases and pneumonia. Regular handwashing helps prevent it
✅ The most important times to wash: before/after preparing food and after using the restroom
✅ Estimated global rates of handwashing after using the toilet are only 19%
✅ Flushing with the lid open spreads bacteria into the air — and sinks in public restrooms hold even more germs
✅ Wash for 30 seconds (15 seconds minimum)
✅ Germs love hiding under your fingernails — scrub them!
✅ Wet hands spread 1,000x more bacteria than dry ones
✅ Disposable paper towels are the cleanest way to dry
✅ People who wash their hands take 24% fewer sick days from colds and 51% fewer from stomach bugs
💡 Clean hands = fewer germs, fewer sick days, and better health.

Some of the most beautiful moments in life don’t show up during the easy seasons — they appear when we push through discomfort, uncertainty, and growth.

Hard seasons shape us. They teach us. And they help us recognize beauty when it finally falls into our lives.

If today feels cold, remember… you may be standing right where something beautiful is about to appear. 💙

Have a great week! Stay safe and warm!!

🌤️ Struggling with the time change or the early winter blues?
You’re not alone! Shorter days can affect your energy, mood, and sleep. Here are a few simple ways to make the transition a little easier:

✨ Get natural light — open the blinds, take a quick walk, or sit near a sunny window.
🕰️ Keep a consistent sleep schedule to help reset your internal clock.
💪 Move your body — even 10 minutes can boost your mood.
🤝 Stay connected — reach out to friends or family when you feel low.
💡 Light therapy can help if you struggle with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
💛 Take care of yourself — healthy habits and small routines go a long way.
