It is with deep appreciation that we celebrate the retirement of Vera, a nurse whose 70+ year career has been defined by compassion, service, and unwavering dedication!
Vera began nursing school in 1952 and became a licensed RN in 1955. At 91 years old, she has continued to serve with the same generous spirit she carried from day one. Her impact on Bethany Children’s, especially within the Nursing Department, will be felt for generations.
Throughout her career, Vera has received many honors, including:

✨ March of Dimes Heroes in Action Lifetime Achievement Award (2023)
✨ Recognition for 35 years of service at Bethany Children’s (2025)

Vera’s legacy is woven into the heart of Bethany Children’s, into its hallways, its caregivers, and the countless young lives she has touched. 💛 Ms. Vera will always be part of our story!
