🤯 Feeling Overwhelmed? Use the 3-Step Pause!

It happens to everyone. That moment when you feel the weight of a million tasks. Instead of panicking, use this 3-step strategy (as seen in the video) to regain control immediately:

STOP & BREATHE: Pause whatever you’re doing. Take a slow, deep breath in, and let it out. This physically calms your nervous system.

IDENTIFY THE PRIORITY: Ask yourself: “What is the single most important thing I need to handle right now?”

FAST PLAN & GO: Make a quick, small plan for that one essential task, and start tackling it. Momentum is your friend!

This simple technique shifts you from overwhelm to action, helping you stay focused and productive. 🚀

5 to 9 AM and 5 to 9 PM social media videos of people displaying their routines during this time with a 9 to 5 job are a current trend on social media. In this reel, .d , a psychologist who helps people improve their morning and evening routines, shares a few thoughts on these videos. Specifically, they can get you to think about your own routine and look at the basic things you likely need or want to include: waking up, working out, eating meals, getting ready for work/the next day, meditation, etc. These videos show how the morning routine and evening routine connect up and that some things can be done during either time period. Most importantly, taking a step back to examine what is working about your morning and evening routines and what is not can help you to make adjustments to have better routines. What is ONE small change you can make to your daily routine this week to boost your efficiency or reduce stress? Share it in the comments! 👇

Our Story

The Heller Psychology Group is a small private practice founded by Carey Heller, Psy.D. and Hope Heller, LCSW-C. The practice offers telehealth and in person (excluding during the #Covid-19 pandemic) therapy, ADHD/Executive Functioning Coaching, and evaluation/testing services for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Carey Heller’s treatment specializations include: ADHD, executive functioning, learning disabilities, and related anxiety as well as life transition issues.

As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Heller provides ADHD/executive functioning coaching within the context of individual treatment. His mental health background and ability to address co-morbid anxiety, stress, and other items that impact functioning along with executive function deficits set him apart from many other professionals who conduct coaching services. Furthermore, Dr. Heller's ability to look at time management, organizational, and study skills from a psychological perspective (i.e., understanding brain functioning, memory, motivation) enhances his ability to help individuals improve their overall functioning.

Dr. Heller’s evaluation/testing specializations include: ADHD, learning disabilities, mood, and behavioral disorders.

Hope Heller’s treatment specializations include life transitions, with a focus on aging, as well as chronic and terminal illness.
