How was your April Fool's Day?

We hope you had a little bit of fun and can now enjoy the blooming flowers, warmer weather, and longer days.

Something fun to share. Did you know that the French say "Poisson D'Avril" for April Fool's? It's litteral translation is "April's Fish" or the "Fish of April".

On this day, children will cut out and color small fish and secretly stick them on others' backs. Once the person discovers the fish, the trickster yells "Poisson D'Avril!". Welcome to the Team, Mariah Conner!

We’re pleased to welcome Mariah Conner to the Corewood Care team as our newest Aging Life Care Manager serving Frederick and Montgomery County communities.

Mariah brings extensive experience in senior living and care coordination, including her previous role as Associate Executive Director at Sunrise of Brighton Gardens, where she worked closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care and support for older adults. Her leadership in senior living, combined with her deep understanding of the healthcare system, allows her to guide families through complex care decisions with clarity and compassion.
