❄️ 22FEB26 - WINTER STORM ADVISORY | Staff Update ❄️

Due to hazardous winter weather conditions, OPM has authorized a two-hour delay for federal employees in the Washington, D.C. area. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 to support safe travel.

Gates 2 and 5 will open at 7 a.m. The VCC will open at 7:30 a.m. The CDC will open at 8 a.m.

Emergency and mission-essential personnel should report as directed by their supervisor. Clinical teams supporting scheduled surgeries should report per leadership guidance. Teams supporting outpatient services should be prepared to see patients at 10 a.m. If you are unsure of your reporting status, contact your supervisor.

Please use caution when commuting, as roads and walkways may be icy. Watch for snow removal efforts and pedestrians on base. Monitor official hospital communications for updates and travel safely.

❄️ 22FEB26 - WINTER STORM ADVISORY | Patient Update ❄️

Due to hazardous winter weather conditions, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23.

All in-person appointments before 10 a.m. are cancelled. Your clinic will contact you this week to reschedule. Scheduled surgeries will proceed as planned. Virtual appointments will proceed as scheduled.

Please allow an additional 24 hours for prescription refills.

The Emergency Room and all inpatient services remain open.
