The call for speakers for The National 2026 is officially open!

APMA is looking for passionate, knowledgeable presenters to help shape next year’s educational program in Nashville, August 6–9, 2026.

If you’re doing exciting work in surgery, biomechanics, dermatology, wound care, trauma, or any area of foot and ankle care, this is your chance to share your expertise and elevate the profession.

Submit your proposal by December 5 to be considered for this can’t-miss event. Your voice matters. Help lead the conversation in podiatric medicine.

A huge thank you to all the APMA leaders, ELP participants, and partners who dedicated their time and energy to this week’s Capitol Hill meetings. Your commitment to showing up, sharing your perspectives, and engaging directly with policymakers makes a real difference for the future of podiatric medicine.

Every conversation, every shared story, and every moment spent educating lawmakers strengthens the foundation of our profession. Advocacy isn’t just an activity; it’s a responsibility that protects patient access, elevates our voice, and moves our mission forward.

Thank you for helping champion the issues that matter most. Advocacy today creates impact for years to come.

Thank you to Louis M. Profeta, MD, for this outstanding article that shows just how much ! "I suspect many of my colleagues harbor an outdated impression that podiatrists are just there to trim calluses and nails, or build orthotics, but this does not do justice to the fact that these are residency and fellowship trained doctors and skilled surgeons." It's a must-read!
