I ugly cried in my yard for a moment as I witnessed the revival of Prim and Proper. They are Sunshine Mimosa and the first gals I've planted in Florida soil. The challenging winter taxed them tremendously.

Principle: plant the right thing at the right time in the right place.

I got them last summer and I kept them in pots as I procrastinated on exactly where I wanted to place them. They became fitful and fussy in those pots, so I had to take action.

I am happy for their late-winter return, and now I know they need sisters to accompany our groovy home. 😍

Groovy Magick Monday! May your day be filled with all the things that help you smile.

Go time!

Today is my last Saturday at the spa in Spring Hill. This groovy gal needs to be more rooted in Citrus County right now. This is one of several successive leaps of faith and hope. Just like my hands are intuitively guided during a client session, my actions are celestially guided in infinite ways. I boldly look forward to what's next.

✨Encouragement✨

The Camellia in my yard is blooming late.

It was an exceptionally cold February 2026 along the Nature Coast of Florida. When I moved here in December 2017, I brought many potted plants from back home in Detroit.

They all have names and know about the cold from up North. I suppose they have been spoiled with this temperamental climate. This rough winter has challenged flora and fauna, and I have lots of tending to do.

Usually the Camellia blooms in January-February. I gave her a trim in 2023, and she did not bloom at all in 2024. In 2025, her blooms returned, right on time. Early pollinators like to hang out in her foliage.

Now that it is March and her season is waning, I have just been thinking, "Maybe next year."

Today, watching my cat Oc*****sy slumbering at the window, I glanced outside to notice a hint of hot pink.

Excitement!

I grabbed my camera and my glasses to take as clear a picture as I could.

Two blooms coming.
No three.
Wait, four.
Wait, more?!

Excitement and happiness!

The seasons change. The world grows colder in some ways and places, and warmer in others. We adapt, or we don't. But we try. We always try. Putting forth our best, every single day. There really is no other way, not for me at least.

Weariness comes. So rest.
Darkness comes. So be light.

Things work out as they should, and in the proper timing. Being with Nature is powerfully healing and educational.

So I could go back and say my Camellia is blooming late. But no, she's right on time. 🌸

Chunk it out!

One of my many mantras lately.

The task to be accomplished, the goal and dream to be realized: it's okay to start slow and build upon progress.

When I get overwhelmed with the billions of things I want and need to do, I don't do anything. Then I look at my spirit animal, a decorative snail I named Minestrone. This is a reminder during my times of taking on too much: Slow it down.

Breathing - slow it down. Breathe deep and full.
Moving - slow it down. Rushing only feeds the adrenaline.

Chunk it out!

One massage therapy or one facial session may not complete the end goal of perfect range of motion, clearing all congestion, or toning and tightening forever. But it will get you closer. Consistency and repetition gets you even closer.

Using pre-assessment, the right techniques and products at the right time, and post assessment, we can witness together the improvement in movement, in clarity, in firmness.
