Thank you to Town & Country and Danielle Stein Chizzik for including me in a thoughtful piece on facelift outcomes.

There’s a lot of discussion around whether a facelift can “slip,” but the reality is that results aren’t static—they evolve over time and depend on the individual. In the early months after surgery, swelling can create a more lifted appearance before results begin to settle, which is often misunderstood as “slippage.”

Technique, anatomy, and individual factors all play a role in how results look and last. Check out the full piece here: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/style/beauty-products/a71121135/facelift-slip-explained/

A few moments from the NYC Facelift & Rhinoplasty Master Course.

Presented on managing marginal mandibular nerve injury in deep plane facelift and neck contouring, and participated in cadaver dissection alongside an outstanding group of colleagues. Special thanks to Dr. Ramtin Kassir and Dr. Sheila Kassir for organizing.

Sylfirm X is one of the most versatile treatments I use in my practice.

On its own, radiofrequency microneedling can significantly improve skin quality—refining texture, reducing redness, and stimulating collagen.

But where it becomes especially powerful is in combination with a facelift. Surgery restores structure and repositions deeper tissues; treatments like Sylfirm X allow me to further enhance the skin itself.

And this is why it remains one of my top treatments for patients following a facelift.

Regenerative medicine is powerful—but it has limits.

While treatments like PRP, stem cells, and exosomes can improve skin quality, boost collagen, and enhance healing, they cannot replace structural changes that come with aging.

They don’t lift descended tissues.
They don’t reposition deep anatomy.
They don’t restore foundational support.

Facial aging isn’t just about the skin—it’s a 3D process involving skin, fat, muscle, and bone.

The most natural, long-lasting results come from understanding what each approach can (and cannot) do—and using the right tool for the right problem.

Regenerative medicine is an excellent complement… but not a substitute for surgical expertise.

What many people think is a “bad facelift” is often actually a bad blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery.

The eyes are the focal point of the face. When a blepharoplasty is overdone or poorly executed, it can create a hollow, tight, or unnatural appearance, regardless of how well the facelift was performed.

That’s why facial rejuvenation should never be approached as isolated procedures. True, natural results come from balance, harmony, and respecting the unique anatomy of each area—especially the eyes.

When it comes to cosmetic work before a big event, here’s my 3-2-1 rule!

Cosmetic treatments, surgical or non-invasive, should never be last minute.

Timing matters more than you think when it comes to healing and looking your best.

Thank you to goop, Amy Synnott, and Beth Landman for featuring me and my patient, Lisa Alvarez, in their recent article on the rise of the “starter facelift.”

This piece reflects an important shift in facial rejuvenation where surgery is no longer reserved as a last resort, but embraced as a proactive, highly individualized approach to aging. It also offers a closer look at the distinctions between SMAS and deep plane facelift techniques, and the level of precision required to achieve natural, lasting results.

Netting may look scary, but it’s incredibly beneficial in the healing stages after surgery.

Face netting helps support tissues, reduce swelling, and protect your results when it matters most.

The patient featured is 24 hours post-op and will only have these sutures for a few days.

Technique pioneered by Dr. Andre Auersvald.
