This highest attainable milestone as a surgeon in private practice represents countless hours of teaching, learning, and growing alongside extraordinary mentors, colleagues, and trainees. I’m deeply thankful to those who supported this journey every step of the way 🙏🏼🤝

Becoming a professor is not just a title—it’s a privilege and a commitment to lead with integrity, teach with purpose, and continue serving patients and learners with excellence.

And truly, this feels like one of the best Christmas gifts I could have received 🎄🎁

Too many of you sent me this video from … so alright, let’s talk about it. 😅🎥

Quick disclaimer: I don’t know anything about the people in this video — just breaking down what we can see. 🙏

Now… that bulging abdomen? 👉 That’s not just a simple hernia. This is what happens when the re**us muscles are completely split apart — something we usually see after major trauma or an emergency laparotomy with a big midline incision. I can barely make out the scar but it’s there. 😳

Can it be fixed?
YES. 100% yes. 💥
But it requires serious skill, and honestly, these should only be handled by true hernia specialists. A lot can go wrong if it’s not done right.

And before you ask —
Yes, this absolutely needs mesh. 🧵🛠️
