Our mission at OMIX Therapies is to help people of all ages communicate better and make a difference in each of our client’s lives.

Beverly Hills / Los Angeles area speech pathologist Innovative Speech & Language Pathology is a private practice serving pediatric through geriatric populations. Our services are dedicated in building a bridge for communication through speech/articulation, phonology, apraxia, voice, tongue thrust, fluency, reading/writing comprehension, auditory processing, ASD, cognitive deficits, dysphagia, dysaprthria, aphasia among other developmental/acquired speech and language deficits. our Beverly Hills pathologist center uses an innovative approach utilizing a wide variety of therapeutic techniques tailored specifically towards each individual's needs. Each session is based on an individual 1:1 with optimal energy and client/clinician involvement. ISLP takes an integrative approach, using either a whole/partial technique to better serve the individual and their families. This results in an effective, eclectic and an individualized approach that's specific to each individual. Our therapeutic services are enhanced through the use of music, singing, and movement involving the left hemisphere to better serve the individual needs where traditional speech therapy has failed. We offer services in English and Farsi and as well utilize the use of Cued Speech as well as some American Sign Language. ISLP provides comprehensive evaluations with reprots in the areas of speech and language skills, including but not limited to: articulation, phonology, tongue thrust, expressive and/or receptive language, auditory processing, voice, fluency/stuttering, social/pragmatic skills development and reading comprehension. We further provide consultations and therapy for individuals, their families, non-public/private school, early intervention programs, as well as the Regional Center. We accepts private pay clients by appointment only with cash/check being the only means of payment at the time of service. At ISLP we don't accept insurance, however, a super-bill with all the necessary documentation is provided for our families to submit to their insurance company. Our mission at Innovative Speech & Language Pathology is to help people of all ages to communicate better and make a difference in the each of our individual's life despite how small or large, fast or slow the progress may be.

It is with grave sadness that Innovative Speech & Language Pathology, DBA: Omix Therapies shut it's doors after nearly 2 decades of serving our community on 11/10/2021. I devoted my heart and soul to the clients I served both personally and through my practice with some of the most amazingly talented clinicians and people I've had the privilege to help me touch more souls. I've had the opportunity and the blessing to grow and learn from my clients and their families. My heart has been touched and my life forever changed by some of the best connections I've made over the course of the past 18 years. The honor to have been affiliated and vendored with some of the most esteemed organizations. To have been honored to be trusted by clients, families, children, organizations, pediatricians, ENTs, and other general and specialized PCPs have been my greatest WINs in life. I carry with me the voice and embrace of every child I worked with, the cries and laughters of their parent and caregivers and the memories we created together for life. My community, my extended family.....you guys helped create the person I am today.

I was just a young girl when I graduated with many great aspirations, hopes and dreams. Some of which materialized in ways I never dreamed and some of which remain as aspirations with the hopes they some day will materials in some way.

I grew to be a woman with many experiences, clinical and healing knowledge, the great gift of empathy and sympathy and connection, a deeper level of understanding of myself and those around me, patience and resilience, a wife, a mother and now a proud and humbled retired business owner. I pray I was able to touch those I had the honor and privilege of working with in some positive way.

I close one chapter of my life and say goodbye to a part of myself and identity that I've come to know, only to say hello to other happy and great chapters awaiting me. I hope the legacy I leave behind is remembered well.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited University in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Must possess and maintain a current State certification and/or licensure in accordance with California State practice
At least 2 year of experience in the field of ST
Ability to maintain positive customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
Ability to exercise discretion and safeguard the privacy of information when dealing with sensitive and/or confidential situations and documentation
Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups. Must relate well to children and their families and maintain positive affect
Passion and enthusiasm for helping children, including the ability to be silly and have fun!
Dedication and commitment to working daily with our clients
Passion to learn and ongoing growth in all treatment areas and/or specialization in one specific area
Strong interpersonal and communication and written skills, self-motivated, creative, and dependable
Comfortable working with children who display behavior and physical challenges

1. Breastfeeding should NOT hurt.
2. "bloody, cracked/discolored/disfigured ni***es during/after nursing" are not ok.
3. Clicking sounds during nursing are not typical.
4. Difficulty latching and/or keeping a continual latch is not typical.

About Odelia Mirzadeh

Odelia Mirzadeh is a Speech-Language Pathologist with both a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Masters of Science (M.S.) degrees in Communication Disorders from California State University Northridge (CSUN) with a minor in Music Therapy.

She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the State of California, is a member of the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology (AAPPSPA), California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA), American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, Autism Society of America, the Voice Foundation of America and the National Stuttering Association.

Odelia began her career working in the Early Intervention Program, General Clinic (aged 4-18-years-old), and Aphasia Clinic at CSUN, completed her internship at Santa Monica and Malibu School Districts, completed her externship at Sinai Medical Center, completed her fellowship at Country Villa Skilled Nursing Homes as well as Beverly Hills School District, was an employee of Nothridge Hospital, The Help Group and UCLA Lab School.

Due to her background and training in various settings, Odelia provides services to both children as well as adults. In terms of the pediatric population, she evaluates and treats: autism spectrum disorder (ASD), cleft palate and craniofacial anomalies, auditory processing disorder (APD, CAPD), oral motor speech disorders, voice disorders, apraxia of speech, stuttering/fluency, voice disorders, social communication disorders (pragmatics), expressive and receptive language disorders/delays, articulation (speech) disorders/distortions, memory and listening skill difficulties, as well as reading and writing comprehension deficits. She’s proud to to have received extensive training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

In terms of the adult population, she evaluates and treats: speech and language disorders resulting from stroke and head trauma, such as aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive deficits, dysphagia (swallowing disorders), as well as voice disorders.

Odelia has conducted numerous professional development in-services for parents, teachers and staff members on various topics related to communication deficits. Her extended training through her continuing education courses include but are not limited to: PROMPT, Talk-Tools, Kaufman’s Apraxia of Speech, Floor-Time/Greenspan, Hanen, SCERTs Model, SOS, PECs, Linda Mood-Bell (Seeing Stars, Visualizing Verbalizing, Talkies), Fast-Forward (FFW), LidCombe method.
