Don’t fall for these common plastic surgery myths:

1️⃣ Plastic surgery is only for vanity
2️⃣ Plastic surgery is only for women
3️⃣ Plastic surgery is only for the rich & famous
4️⃣ Plastic surgery leaves no scars
5️⃣ Plastic surgery always looks fake & unnatural

Stay informed. Educate yourself. The truth matters when it comes to your health and your decisions.

Should someone who survived a heart transplant ever consider cosmetic surgery? Most people immediately say absolutely not. But what if that assumption is completely wrong?

In this episode of Plastic Surgery Uncensored, I speak with a remarkable patient who underwent a life-saving heart transplant at just 9 years old. Her life was saved — but like many people, she grew up with a personal insecurity about her nose that followed her into adulthood.

For years she carried a question many patients with complex medical histories quietly ask themselves: Is someone like me even allowed to want cosmetic surgery?

What do you think - has body positivity taken a shift with the rise of weight assisted interventions?

Here are my thoughts.

What once defined body positivity has changed with the introduction of weight management interventions.

Does it lead to being healthy? In my opinion, no - people are beginning to swing the pendulum too far to the other side and are looking gaunt and overly thin which doesn’t equate to healthy.

Quick fixes may seem appealing, but true health is built through healthy lifestyle habits.

Be careful not to confuse trends with health.

What are your thoughts?

⚠️ Just 48 hrs prior to surgery… the surgery was cancelled. Watch the full story here.

This lovely patient had flown in from Texas after undergoing a previous abdominal surgery elsewhere that failed. After many conversations and a virtual consultation, we decided to pursue her surgery to correct a severe and complicated case of diastasis recti and hernia repair. I wasn’t feeling comfortable with what I discovered during the physical exam and quickly got her in for a CT scan…We weren’t expecting to find what we did.

This scenario signifies 2 critical points as a physician:

1. Always do right for patient safety and care - it was a bummer for both of us to have to cancel, but it was the right and ethical thing to do.

2. Importance of examination prior to undergoing any surgery. The shocking element to this story, is she had already undergone an abdominal surgery not too long ago in which nothing was discovered or examined. This is mind boggling given the size…

What are the most important elements to plastic surgery? A result that looks natural with a beautiful scar.

But here’s the truth: if your scar heals poorly, it can feel like you traded one insecurity for another.

In this episode of Plastic Surgery Uncensored, I’m diving into the “holy grail” question patients obsess over. I break down what’s real, what’s nonsense, and what most surgeons won’t say out loud.

It’s truly surreal that after 47 years of oppression and regression a new day has begun. I can’t wait to visit my homeland!

When it comes to facelifts, there are three serious complications every patient should understand:

• Facial nerve injury leading to paralysis
• Skin necrosis
• Hematoma formation

These risks are directly related to surgical technique, anatomical precision, respect for vascular supply, and meticulous postoperative management.

Excellent outcomes are not accidental. They are the result of proper training, board certification, experience, and sound surgical judgment.

A facelift should restore confidence — not create preventable complications.

Do your research.
Ask the hard questions.
Your safety depends on it.

This lovely patient came to us concerned by the heaviness surrounding her eyes. She was reminded of it anytime she put eye makeup on and was bothered by the constant look of being tired even when she wasn’t.

She was a great candidate for an upper blepharoplasty in which I removed the excess eyelid skin, in turn opening up her eyes for a more youthful look.

The goal was to enhance and preserve her natural shape while preventing hollowing and overcorrection.

Subtle. Refined. Natural.
