Mouth reconstruction Dr. Solnit must convey what changes he wants to make before beginning a diagnostic wax up. The red markings depict where contours and shape changes need to be made so that his lab technician knows exactly what the interim restorations will look like in advance. Future posts will show each step in the treatment of this very difficult case. Dr. Solnit still finds doing this in the ‘analog world’ best conveys the necessary information.

Dr. Solnit cements the zirconia restoration onto the titanium abutment in the lab and closes the access hole so that it’s invisible. The restoration is always retrievable and there is never cement below the gingiva. This ensures long-term stability and healthy tissue 💫
